"Genuine love...is demanding. But its beauty lies precisely in the demands it makes. Only those able to make demands on themselves in the name of love can demand love from others..."
Genuine love equals suffering, trials, hardships, pains, and a lot of growing. God allows such suffering to help us grow closer to Him. I mean out of love one man endured so much pain, to be accused of something he did not do and pay the price is love and deep humility. AS we suffer ourselves, we share in a part of his pain.
During my period in exile, a lot of thinking time and praying time had taken place. After shurring w/my some what of a spiritual director at the time errthang had taken place, he advised me. He advised that perhaps it maybe in my best interest to take a break from the group or maybe look into leaving the group. When i heard leave the group, my heart sank. I thought, 'i cant leave SH!' SH is like my home away from home. Ive always wanted church friends and now i have them i cant leave them.
As ive said before i hated that cross i had to carry. It was freakin heavy and i was so ready to drop it. But it was a healing process. It was a calling to show and be love unconditionally. Ill never forget that one nite, with a really good friend who i had hurt was able to forgive me. The best in all of this is by this great persons example to be love, he was able to get others to let go of the hurt and learn to forgive. To me my friends, thas the fruit of a great friendship.
Great friendships will always be tested, through trial and suffering. The friendships that overcome those rought waves through God's grace are a product of an awesome friendship. SH has gone through a lot within these past couple yurrs. Like jaymee said, individually and collectively, the community has gone through a lot. Although that past may have been filled with anger, hate, resentment etc. yet the important is were all still hurr today. We can stand in the same room together and praise God together and thats whas d0pe.
To truly have a Servant's Heart is praising God through errthang He may throw at you. To praise Him for the suffering, to praise Him for the joy, to praise Him in all that you do. A heart of a servant does not look out for it's own self interests, but for the interests of others. A heart of a servant doesnt juss serve during ministry time, but serves errmoment of its life. Serving God in all that it does is it's prayer.
Im saddened by the fact confirmation is now over. Aww kawawa me!! I wish we had more time in class together. But yet i Praise God that they were giving the opportunity to grow through youf alpha. For a lot of my students, youf alpha was unforgettable experience. I think too for a lot of them it developed their faith to trust and understand more. Im soo blessed to have each and errone of them in my class. Ive been given a opportunity that i will never forget.
Each of them are so funy and yet so special. With all kids they have thurr moments. Yes a lot of times i was hella frustrated cuz they wouldnt listen or wouldnt stop talking. IM sure some of the quiet kids probably felt i couldnt control the class. Yes thurr was times whurr i felt like that. Never the less, i praise God for each and errone of them. This has gotten to be the best yurr yet so furr!
Im excited to see what God has in store for us next yurr. I can honestly say ive gotten to know a lot of them on a more personal level. Sheesh i even talk to them online or they'll call me for prayer requests. I want to be Jesus to each and errone of them. I really do ahve the best class!
Thurrs joseph, who i'll never forget gave up going to his friends purrty to go to a confession purrty. His jokes so corny, yet he's grown up so much. Then jerel a new one this yurr, very OA always messing around but is so funny. He told me last tues. Mr. Fish i dont like your grading scale. Charles, he's quiet but is the opposite of jerel, ha he listens. Him, jerel, and mitch are like the 3 stooges, they always sit together.
Josh, another quiet one, but has slowly come out of his shell. 'El Bravo' as he writes on his papers haha or 'mitch.' This kid has one of the deepest voices i know. He was in my youf alpha group, i call him drummer boy cuz he's always using my pencils to bang on the desk. When i looked at the attendace roster i found out he lives right next to my work. We would talk online, until he blocked me...ha
Miranda, one beautiful soul who wasnt sure at first whether she wanted to be confirmed catholic. Was leaning torwards the lutheran church, but ended up changing her mind and decided to want to be confirmed catholic! praise God you cant beat that! Matt, a good kid he tries to stay away from hanging w/the talkative kids in class. Stephanie, one who came late in the yurr to class. I felt bad cuz i was able to figure out exactly when she came into class, so i was never able to make an accurate progress report for her.
Melissa, she was very quiet thiss yurr. Last yurr she talked a lot, but this yurr was always paying attention. Marijo, a soul that was very touched by youf alpha. One that helped her establish a deeper prayer life and deeper calling to try to be like Christ. Justin i always like his writing cuz its slanted but very nice and neat. He went to youf rally and im glad he came. I had gone to his house one thurs. after SRe was over. Ive had his brother in my class way back.
Carl,he also went to youf rally and ive gotten to know him more through it. Very studious doing his best to turn all his work. Then marvin, a cross that i had to curry throughout this yurr. Soo hungry for confession that he would always ask that i bring a priest to class so he can get ot confession. Praise God! Paul, his cousin, i saw him two weeks ago walking on knott towards aela's house. I passed by a few times to make sure it was him and sure enough it was. I stopped him to see whurr he was going and to make sure he was staying out of trouble. I took the kid home cuz it was too hot to walk.
Artie, this kid has grown up a lot. When i saw him at the beginning of the yurr he got tall! So willing to learn bout the faith, always asking questions, which was good. Ashley, anotha new student this yurr though very bright. She explained how this yurr was her fav yurr out of all her yurrs in SRE. awww!
Jett, the guy who erryurr we assign him to bring the lumpia for our end of the yurr potluck. Said to me last week if i didnt give him at least a 'C' to pass him he wasnt gonna tell his mom to cook it. Ha his mom told me tonite when she picked him that he barely told him last nite! haah
Christina known as ate nariza's cousin. Always frustrated w/me cuz id make the class stay after for talking to much. Very quiet in class but yet so impatient by the behavior of her classmates. I always teased her saying she wasnt gonna pass! haha Kathryn, another new student this yurr. I loved reading her writings, she's a very bright girl. Errtime shed write in her journal they were so deep. I could totally see her someday as a sister.
Anthony, he's grown up a lot this yurr. JUss like all of them, he's learned how to be closer to Jesus. Always trying to do the best he can to turn in his work. Good kid always greets me when he sees me @ church, same w/his family. Eric was a new eddition to my class this yurr. I think ive gotten to know his mom more than ive known him. He's very quiet, but is always smiling. His mom goes to cypress too and in fact her class is next door to my bio class. Its funny cuz during break we'd end up talking! haha
Deanna, she told me today how fred invited her to pentecost picnic and now talks to her online. She's really come out of her shell this yurr. Veyr talkative and outgoing, soo willing to know more bout her faith. I think youf rally was huge moviation for her. Kenneth, i remember at the beginning of the yurr i was struggling to get him back in my class. Praise God! His mom told me when she registered him late at the beginning of the yurr how he was so eager to come back. Wow praise God!
Justin P. oh man was a huge cross to curry last yurr for me. Though this yurr he's really matured. I mean gosh hardly did i ever have to ask him to be quiet or threaten to talk to his mom. I was touched tonite cuz he gave me this brown scapular as a present. I love his family, they remind me of 7th heaven. They always sit behind us @ 915am
mass. Mariella, seems to ahve gotten along real well w/kenneth. The two of them were always talking to each other at the back row of class.
Wow that was a lot...so when they walked into class. I put CONFIRMATION I-FINAL EXAM. They were like wha?! Final?! They were to write one full page essay on 7 different questions i put on the board. Im excited to read them! Then our potluck inside the hall was d0pe. My class always has the best potlucks cuz i have tons of filipino students. CHeck it, we had 2 boxes of pizza, chips, cookies, soda, ravioli, taquitos, salsa, lechon, fried rice, fried chicken. I thought wed have tons of left overs, apparently not! haha
"I know that we'll meet again, fate has a place and time..." im done, im out GOd bless
