"We create community through word and sacrament..."

MONOPOLY: The past couple of days at work I've been playing monopoly w/some of the older kids at work. I never realized how addicting the game could be, though it takes too long when you have more then 4 players playing. Anyway, so the other day there was three of us playing and I convinced this kid to give me his park place(since i had boardwalk already)and if you know those two pieces are the most expensive pieces of property on the monopoly. At the same time the kid and I teamed up, errtime I landed on his property he wouldnt charge me, I was doing likewise. ANyway, so then the other kid playing kept landing on my property and was going in debt, having ot borrow $$ from the bank. Ha well then later on, once the kid on my team had enough money to be on his own, I left him. So he ends up landing on my boardwalk w/a hotel on a it. He thought I wasnt bout to charge him, until I said...$2000 please! ha He was shocked cuz I betrayed him haha! I love that game, it sure teaches you a lot bout life and politics! ha

CHICHIBORA: At work today one of hte kids asked me if I wanted to play this game called, 'chichibora.' I was like naw its alright Ill juss watch so I started watcing and I couldnt stop laughing at first. This is howo the game went, there was two groups of 6. Three boys on each side, well the first team went up and made a train. They had to bend over and put their head inbetween the person in front of thems legs. Then the other team runs and jumps on group 1s backs. The object of the game is for the both teams, team #2 to hang on w/o falling off and team #1s job to stay still. Whoever falls down first looses and has to make the traiin. Yeah I know it sounds a little weird, but ha my kids dont have the luxuries of psp and other stuff, so they make up their own games. You gotta love them...

CAUGHT UP: I decided not to go tonite, to catch up some much needed things, such as rest. Took like a 3 hour nap, which felt great, like I was renergized again. All week its been non-stop on the go stuff, spirit games meeting on mon., theo. on tap on tues., how on wed., so tonite I was able to give attention to some of the things Ive been procrastinating on. Put together my skool schedule all I gotta do is register, finished my daily devotions from last week and this, started to type up the notes from theo. on tap talk. Cleaned up my room a little bit, so it was a some what productive evening for me. yay!

BREAKFAST AT TIFFANYS: MEt up w/heif this mornign for breakfast, juss not at tiffanys ha. We went to ihop and she was telling me bout her trip in europe. SHe was there during the london bombings and stuff. We sat there talking bout the old kids we use to take care of, wondering wha the looked like and how they were like now. Its great knowing that even though heif and I dont work together/talk to each other on a daiily basis like before, we still keep in touch. She's one of those people that are so easy to juss chill and get along with, thas was so d0pe bout her. Ah yes the beauty of friendship...best friends are grreeat!

WORKING IT: Went w/arch to work out, he was like my personal trainer for the nite. Oh man my arms are sore! Good thing I took a long nap otherwise, I dont know if I would've been able to last through the nite. So now when I go on my own time, I have things that I could do. The time kinda went by fast well sorta ha. It feels good though burning all taht fat, ahh if only I didnt wait so long to get so fat! ha Oh well, nothing you can do bout it now. One of these next times that I go, I want to try the whole pool thing. Maybe even juss making that my work out doing laps back and forth in the pool. Brings back memories of my water polo days, I hated having to practice at freakin 5am! THough it was great work out to start off the morning.

MORE KIDS STORIES: Working w/youf errday, it really does inspire you to want to help change lives. Im sure people like banne, noreeen, kat, and other teachers or people who work w/young kids know wha I'm talking bout. Today I had taken the fooseball away from them, and thas their favorite thing to do. In order for htem to get back, I told them I wanted to write me a good list of 5 reasons why I should give it back to them. So after they were done writing it, they all turned in their papers to me. I started reading them and one of the kids I was laughing cuz he goes, 'you should let me play fooseball cuz I am hot, because Im your friend, because you're hot, because youre my favorite teacher, and because I'm mexican.' hah then another kid put 'because I'm P.I.M.P.' haha their generation is so based on wah they see on tv and the media. I guess its like the same thing as my generation when I was growing up.

CAREER VOCATION: I realized as of lately, that I defiently want to teach. Before, when I was in jr. high/hs, I wanted to do broadcast journalism. I wanted to chill in the fast lane, hang out w/the all big name peoples, make lot of money, buy a mansion. Though, now that Im older its different, of course all that stuff still sounds good. I mean cmon who doesnt think bout living it large from time to time?! Each day that I'm at work and see these kids I am humbled. This is what I want to do, I want to teach. I want to help make a difference in children's lives whether its from 4 to 18, whatever it is, I want to guide them to become better people. To help them grow up w/visions and goals, and the tools to accomplish them. Its a wonderful experience and you can so much out of it. At least I do errtime I'm at work, even if I have some bad ones. They're still as fr. said in his talk on tues, 'imago dei' an 'image of God.' Thas why I took picture of all them and put them on the wall, as a reminder to myself, that they are an image of God juss like myself or anyone else.

fun filled weekend coming up!

"Her brown eyes tell me so..."im done, im out God bless!
