A New Direction for America

VERY PLEASED: Watching election coverage is always exciting, to see what props. passed, which canidates made it to the house or senate, even more exciting is when you have a presidential election. Like I said previously, ever since I've been able to vote, my party has never made to the finish line successfully, this year its changed. Im excited for the new year especially to see Mrs. Nancy Pelosi to become the new and first woman speaker of the house. I have to admit a couple months ago I thought it was a long shot for the democrats to earn 15 seats back, I guess I was wrong. The senate races have been really heated, Im sad that ford jr. lost the bid for tennessee. As for back home, yeah it sucks that we're going to have the stupid governator for another 4 years oh why?! As for the major prop issues I heard the 85 lost inregards to the abortion. I had a feeling it would, juss cuz california is such a liberal state. Oh well, we cant have errthang I am juss grateful for the seats we picked up.

CALL & RESPOND: That was my theme for tonite's confirmation lesson last nite. I was kinda scrambling to figure out what to teach tonite and as I was looking at the compendium lesson for tonite and it was bout man responding to God. So for some reason I thought of call and respond as the theme for the evening. God calls man and invites him to respond to the invitation. It was really great tonite, I felt there was some type of response this evening. On a side note, sunday I had this mom come up to me on monday and intro. herself to me. Well as I was walking into mass I found it odd I didnt even know who she was. Turns out it was one of my student's mom ha! Anyway, it seems like the kids really enjoyed the retreat which is positive. I am extremely thankful that these kids are more mellow and chill then the kids last year. I ended the class with the thought that God is challenging us not to become christians, but 'Christs.' I love teaching confirmation! Praise God! Whew! at least I'm saved right friend? haha

JUSS CHILLIN: Tonite was juss a really good nite, I got to hang out w/coy and allen for a little bit after confirmation. Went to starbucks and juss chilled, talked bout stupid random things but it was fun. Afterwards allen and I went to islands cuz he was hungry, did the whole catching up thing. Its always great catching up with friends who you haven't seen or talked to you in a while. I am grateful also for him that despite his busy schedule he still takes the time to come to confirmation and help out. Overall tonite was a great nite, in all areas!
