3 The Magic Number
"Never will anyone who says his Rosary every day be led astray. This is a statement that I would gladly sign with my blood..."
STILL THERE: Wow it's amazing how God can totally juss work in you, if you juss allow yourself to be open. I know, I always say erryear that I'm going to retire from teaching confirmation. Yet, somehow, someway God draws me back to the same classroom to share His love w/more young people. Of course there are times where it's tiring, where I'm juss totally drained from being at work all day, but in the end its such a joyful feeling. This year has been difficult not with the class, but with the changes and implementations with the program. There have been so many tuesdays where I felt soo frustrated yet God allows things to happen for a reason. Through His grace I stuck through it to the end and Im so grateful that He allowed me to make it.
SEASON 3: So Saturday, another class was pushed through and another set of youth have been confirmed. I went to Target this afternoon and I bought this frame to put up in my room. Inside of there I put each confirmation class for the past 3 years inside. I loved this class, I only wish were able to spend more time together as a class. During the mass when the Bishop was praying for the gifts, I juss envisioned the Holy Spirit juss coming into each of these kids one by one. Its such a blessing to able to do this. To teach your faith, to share your experiences, to allow the Spirit to use and move you to hopefully make a difference in these young peoples lives. The one thing that I enjoyed bout this year is that many of my kids I had their siblings in my class previously or they were in my first communion class two years ago. Funny thing, there's this mom who remembers me being her son's first communion teacher. For the past couple of months now she's been telling me on confirmation I have to take a picture w/her son the same way we did during first communion. Wow...I feel old, yet its kinda a cool feeling, its like I feel in a sense accomplished. So season 3 is coming to a close and well Im still praying whether God wants me back to start a season 4. I love teaching confirmation.
MASQUERADE BALL: Last Saturday was the masquerade ball and I have to be honest I really didnt think it was going to be successful. Turns out I was proved wrong and it ended up being pretty successful, the youf ministry manage to surpass our goal by like 15% or something like that. For the most part I had a great time, the food was whack but the date was coo ha. The band was awesome, and I've heard nothing but positive feedback about them. In fact, even Fr. Johnny commented on how great they sounded. I cant believe how small quest learning center is, it smaller than the hall geez. Well, now I know where the new dance team 'quest' practices it up at. The decorations made me feel like I was at the oh geez that one hotel in vegas where errthang like a mardigras type of theme. Fr. Vic was kind enough to let me borrow his camera for the evening, that thing is nice. Makes me want to get something like that of my own, the down part of it is its so big and bulky, though the quality is super nice.
PRIVATE PROFILES: I hate when Im searching through myspace and I come across someone's profile and its private! Oh why?! Unfortunately after being on the site for over a couple of years now, I had to go under privacy status. I really didnt want to, but apparently some of the upper grade kids at work saw my page. Yeah so with that being said I had to take precaution and go private status to prevent any type of work drama. ANyway, so Im being a little critical but you knwo how some people have slideshows on their page with captions? Then you click on their pictures and its the same damn pictures with the same damn captions ha its like uhh whas the point of putting up the stupid slideshow when you have the same thing inside your profile already! Ha Anyway, thas it I juss had to rant bout those tiny things.
SPIDERMAN 3: Friday nite I went to go see SPiderman 3, it was quite a long movie. Though Id rather have it long then some 1.5 movie that you waited for a while to see. There were some surprising scenes that I didnt expect but I think the whole theme of the movie was based on forgiveness. Being able to forgive yourself first off and then being able to forgive others. Im glad they were able to keep certain main characters in the story line and not change them. The line was forever long that nite, obviously it was anticipated being that it was opening nite. Next up Shrek and then Pirates argh!
"Fast like a nascar..."im done, im out God bless!
