The Year of the Eucharist

"Just as if someone were to twist two pieces of wax together and melt them with a fire, so that the two are made one, so too through participation in the Body of Christ and in His precious blood, He is united to us and we to Him. In no other way can our corruptible nature be made alive except by being united bodily to the Body of Him who is, by His ever nature, like that is, the Only-Begotten..."

Today the HOly Father will mark this year the year of the Eucharist. How exciting, as we all know last year was the year of the rosary. Two great essential items to our catholic faith. The Eucharist wha more can you ask for? I remember when I learned bout the eucharist, and what it was, how much loove and reverence I had for it. Everyday millions of people recieve Jesus in the Eucharist, wow juss wow! I always, always emphasize the eucharist to my kids when I teach them. Words cant express how much love I have for the Eucharist. We should do wha we can to recieve Jesus in the Eucharist as much as possible.

Spent the morning trying to figure out whether I was going to get dressy or go semi-casual to my cousin's wedding today. I figured it wasnt gonna be in a church and the reception wasnt gonna be at a hotel, so thurr really wasnt any reason to get all dressy. So after consulting w/julie ha I decided to go in 'dirty jeans' and a nice long sleeve guess shirt, w/kenneth coles. I wonder wha type of style alaine would think I was. Ha since she's some kinda fashion person or something! ha

The wedding was alright, I was thinking since it was gonna be in his fiance's backyurrd, I was thinking something huge! When we got thurr it was juss a regular ol house, nothing really fancy. Agh! then the wedding didnt even sturrt on time, it was suppose to sturrt at 3pm, we didnt sturrt till 330pm! Oh why?! If I ever get murried, Im soo gonna make sure we stick to the schedule! ha Well majority of you all know how anal I am w/time and errthang. Then it was weird cuz when the bride came out, they had some type of I dont know how to describe the music. I juss know it wasnt your traditional 'wedding murrch' instead it was rather hmm fast. Like errone was kinda juss boppin thurr heads to it, which was funny.

The ceremony itself was probably no longer then 20 min! ha They hired some kinda uhh person to marry them. Then it was very crowded inside and outside w/all the small round tables they had. It was kinda like a furr hazard in a sense, if thurr was a furr, I dont think we'd all make it out in time. Hmm wha else, they had the first dance, which then lead to the $$ dance. I dindt like the way they did the $$ dance either. They put a basket on the table and if you wanted to dance w/them you juss dropped your $$ into it. Not the regular pin/tape the $$ on to the bride or groom. I think the only thing coo bout it was the open burr! haha yess!

Later on, thur was some dancing but it was mostly like oldies and 80's. I remember burr and boss lady's reception, oh man that was fun! The dancing, the music, the people, and juss wow good times! haha I dont know I guess i was expecting a lot more than wha I saw. After seeng this wedding, it made me think of how I'd plan my wedding(if Im called that is). All in all it was alright, oh the food was ehh. They had one side of the house traditional filipino food. The rice, panist, lechon, lumpia, turon, blah blah. On the other side was mexican food, taquitos, rice, enchiladas. The taquitos were hella hurrd though!! It was practically hurting my teef trying to bite into it!

Despite the fact it wasnt your 'traditional catholic wedding' which I'm use to, I do pray that thurr marriage only brings out fruits of the spirit. That they really stay true to thurr wedding vows and continue to love each other more and more each day. Actually, it's gonna be weird seeing him murried now. Though I do wonder if she wouldnt of never gotten pregnant wouldve they gotten murried? They've only really been going out for wha maybe a couple yurrs? They've known each other for 3 yurrs, I dont know how long though theyve been going out. Oh well...all the tables at pink, purple, white, roses, and daisies. I made myself a small boquet to put on my altar in my room and some to take to Mama Mary tomorrow on my way to mass. yay!!

Agh I still need to go to Silverado days before the weekend is over!
