Always Better When Were Together

FINALLY: Okay, so I'm probably the last person in teh world who hadnt watched the notebook...until tonite! I had nothing to do tonite, and being I heard in order to watch the movie you have to totally focus on it. I figured that tonite was probably the best nite to do so then. Anyway, it was specactular, it defines and outlines what love really is suppose to be...commitment, joy,sacrifice, peace, patience. It was a moving story and probably the best love story that Ive ever watched. So if I start talking to you bout the movie, now you know why cuz I finally seen it! haha

FAMILY DAY: Spent the morning and part of the afternoon running errands with my mom and sister. It was cool we went to wal mart and bought a grip of stuff. Im using a new shampoo now, trying something different(I know, like you really care right? ha). Oh yeah I also got this new neutrogena face cleaner that was like $7! I think its a brand new product thas why it was so expensive. Had lunch at mimis cafe thas the first time I've had lunch there, pretty good. I didnt know wha I was in the mood for, its so hard to think of places to eat now. Anyway, had these thai wraps that were pretty good, except for the cilantro that I didnt like eh! WEnt to sears and I saw this d0pe camera that I want to get. Its freakin tight, too bad its like $500!

EDUCATION: I was confused yesterday as one of the kids came in showing off his report card. They're graded based on a number system, 1 being the lowest and 4 being the highest. Well this kid all 1-2's all year long, for all 3 trimesters, nothing above 2! In the comment box the teacher wrote how the child was still struggling and suggested some type of tutoring program for him in the summer. She was kinda concerned how he was going to keep up next year. Yet wha I dont get is that she passed him! Despite her concerns and the low points he had she still moved up to the 6th grade. Whas that all about?! I wouldve imagined that she should've kept him in the 5th grade for one more year for improvement. Why would you pass a kid who isnt doing well at all? I dont know maybe there's more factors involved and I'm juss seeing it from the surface level. It still puzzles me though.

VACANCY: There's a couple of vacancies in the world today, first the announcement of sandra day o connor retiring from the supreme court. If you dont know or didnt pay attention to govt. supreme court justices are given a term like the pope ha. YOu serve until you step down or die, a life time appointment. Now its gonna be interesting to see who the president will nominate and how the battle for that is gonna be. I know theres gonna be drama coming real soon up on that capitol hill. Then the loss of a great r & b singer, luther vandros. Wow he was only 54, thas still real young...its hard to imagine all the pain and suffering he was going through. Another great talent gone.

NEW START: I went to first friday mass at sPv this afternoon, and wow fresh new start. Fr. Ed Becker one of the newly ordained priest celebrated mass this afternoon. It was different to see someone completely new there. THen I was asked by wendy to read since the lector never showed up. I was real nervous cuz there was a lot of people there, then a new priest there also. He gave an interesting homily talking bout blessed junipero serra and the life of a missionary he led. Always going from place to place, starting new journeys never getting too comfortable in one. He gave a analogy with the same thing w/the new priests starting a new mission at the parish, and also w/the old priests starting a new journey at their new assignment. After mass wendy called me back and I thought she was gonna tell me how bad I was cuz I didnt prepare ahead. No it was nothing bad she juss asked how come Im not a lector cuz I have a good clear voice. Oh yeah then after mass I ran into the other new priest, fr. lopez. Though I didnt even recgonize he was a priest, he was wearing like normal clothes. Ha its kinda funny cuz with these new priests coming in, its kinda like the real world. Coming from different backgrounds and areas, chosen to serve in a parish and build up a community.

THE OTHER ONE: Holy fam in orange gave me a call back today. They told me they hired a youf minister already and he'll be starting in 2 weeks. However, they were real impressed w/me and when he comes in they'll be calling me back for a second interview. It sounds real exciting, but I was nervous too I thought they were gonna offer me the job right then and there. Im still lost on what to do. This could be an opportunity that I cant pass up, Im juss praying for guidance I know God will lighten my path and show me which way to go. Prayers please!
