One Body, One Spirit

"The time will come when there will be one flock and one shepherd, one faith and one clear knowledge of God..."

So that there may be no division in the body, but that the parts may have the same concern for one another. If one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it; if one part is honored, all the parts share its joy...1 Cor 12:25-27

This is one of the many fav. verses in the bible cuz it has soo much meaning in it. You know one of the goals of spirit games, was to emphasize how we ARE many parts as we are ONE BODY. That God has blessed each and errone of us w/different types of talents. We use those combined talents to help glorify God. Each member of the body is important, for the body needs all its purrts to function. Spirit Games couldnt of happened if it didnt have all its body purts. Yet at the same time, if one of the purrts is missing or if one of the purrts is hurting, the whole BODY suffers. The whole BODY shurrs its pain together. I can clurrly remember a perfect example of this, and im sure fred can as well. All I have to say is Mission San Gabriel 2003.

So during the retreat I took this leadership style test indicator and thurrs 6 different types of leadership styles. Pioneering, Strategic,Management, Team, Pastoral, and Encouraging. I ended up getting 'Team Leadership.' It's so funny cuz it totally described my style of leadership and my leadership personality, which it was suppose to do. Anyway, this is wha it said...

Here we include leadership in a group context, whether the leader has a formal leadership role in a group or not. For the church as 'the body'( 1 cor 12), working together is clearly important. The key strengths of team leaders are a desire to work with others, and an ability to trust them. Team leaders need great humility and servanthood-their sole aim is that the team achieves its goals. What they as individuals achieve is secondary. The greatest contirbution Silas made to the church was probably training and developing Paul's ministry so he could go on to achieve its greater things later. Team leaders are invaulable-if the church is truly to function as a body, team leaders are needed to ensure harmony and effectiveness in the way the team works.

Confirmation sturted last nite and oh boy its gonna be one interesting yurr. I have bout 30 kids in my class! Praise God for abe cuz he's gonna be my aide this yurr, im hoping cyril will be able also so in case I cant teach she can take over. Im excited but you know I realized something last nite. My kids are very dependent on me, which I dont know if its too good of a thing. Last nite during the orientation they kept calling me. Altough it was nice to see them all or most of them all again, some of them gotten taller, some of them are still the same. All in all praise God for its gonna be one great skool yurr!
