Who Do You Work For?

A short tale from the book im currently reading, 'Wisdom of the Little Flower.' A quick lesson on 'Who do you serve?'

A Hassidic folktale recounts how in the city of Ropschitz the rich people whose houses stood alone or on the outskirts of town hired guards to watch over their property at night. One evening when Rabbi Naftali was walking at the edge of the forest, he met one of these guards. 'Who do to you work for?' he asked him. The man told him, but added the counter-question, 'And who do you work for, Rabbi?' This question struck the rabbi like an arrow. 'I dont work for anyone yet?' he barely managed to mutter as he walked along in silence beside the guard. Finall the rabbi asked: 'Do you want to be my servant?' 'Id be glad to, but what do I have to do?' the other man asked. 'Nothing, except to remind me of the question, 'Who do you work for?'

And that's a wrap! These past few days have been busy preparing and getting final adjustments ready for SH Cafe. Thank you Lord for guiding us and providing for us. It's been a tough battle these past few weeks, but we praise God cuz of the fruits that have come out of your event. Praise you Lord for the many souls who came out to hear your children, your servants sing you praises! Help us continue to serve you in any way we can, lets continue to be your hands and feet as we bring a little heaven down here on earth.

HAHA! oh man i juss saw right now that sturrbucks commerical and it was the commercial jon's group used during the Victim retreat group commercials. I was crackin up when I saw it cuz it brought back memories from last weekend. Which reminds me I was juss thinking last nite, i cant believe its been a week already. Maan that weekend went by soo fast, juss errday keeps slipping by. So do all that you can to really enjoy the day cuz the days are juss flying by! Before you know it Christmas will already be hurr!

I was so turrd on thurs. morning ahh falling asleep off and on during class. Agh i gotta sleep early on wed. otherwise imma be falling asleep during class on thurs. BUrr and I were gonna have lunch on thurs, but then we couldnt reach a bi partisanship agreement. Haha oh well it was coo cuz my mom ended up juss buying me lunch anyway. Work was easy, my boss' was planning on purposing to his gf later that nite. So he left early, ha im hoping she said otherwise oh man its gonna be a rough couple weeks at work. Errone says she'd probably say yes, so im hoping she does. ALthough thursday are easy days, or chill days i always finded the most difficult cuz I gotta find something to cook for the kids. What makes things difficult is we dont got an oven soo errthang I wanna make I have to use a stove.

All day on thurs. I felt completely exhausted and then I had SRE also that nite. I was a little sad walking into the classroom w/a whole new set of errthang. It was weird seeing a whole new set of kids, having no achie in the class helping me. Praise God cuz I have a new challenge set before me. I threw out a lot to these kids for the first nite and I wasnt sure if they'd be able to swallow it all, but they did! Majority of the kids were absent, they probably forgot or something. Anyhow, I have a real intimate class of 12 kids majority of them being like average age 13-14. Actually these were jeannes and mike's kids from last yurr. Probably the highlight of the evening was them understanding, two important things bout our catholic faith. The Blessed Virgin Mary and the Eucharist. At the end of class i asked the kids if thurrs one thing I want them to get out of this class its wha? Then they shouted out, that the eucharist=the body of Christ. Praise God!!!

Then on over to stanton to start setting up for SH Cafe. Praise God we got a lot of the main stuff done, like the furniture, tables and churrs, the wall etc. Then setting up the instruments for the nite also. I dont think thurr wouldve been enough time to do it on the day of. Praise God for errones help in getting things done and set-up.

Finally the big day is hurr! Wow, juss like errthang else it by in a flash. It was a lot bigger than last yurrs and I know it's only gonna get bigger and bigger. Anyway, I woke up later that usual, almost 11am. For me thas late in fact it felt gross waking up that late ha cuz the morning is pretty much gone. Checked mail and errthang else, and then got ready for mass @ sPc. For some reason maybe its juss me, but I always have a hard time understanding fr. larry talking during his homily. Which sucks cuz I know he always has good stuff to say.

After mass, I had gone to lunch w/jay da banker @ jack in the box. I like having lunch w/him cuz we have simple lunches haha. We dont have to go to like restaraunts and all this other stuff. THen by the time I knew it was already 230pm! FRom thurr I went over to stanton to open up the center to sturrt unloading the equipment for the nite. I didnt realize how much stuff thurr was to unload and get things ready. PRaise God for ann's dad who let us borrow all this stuff for the evening. Time really flew by cuz i looked at the clock and it was already 530pm!

The performances whurr tight, from HOJ who added the 'cmon over to my place' flava into thur last song. I totally saw the spirit in Kim who was juss giving her whole heart away. SFC was tight, i didnt know arlene was gonna be thurr. 7 Sorrows were tight, i think errone was feelin them. It was cool cuz they explained the signifcance of thurr name, the 7 sorrows of Mary. Audience of one and No Joke kicked off the evening w/spectacular performance. Banne and lyn²'s performance I loved! Then SH ending the nite, the how great tho art turned out to be tight! God provided w/errthang, all it took was surrendering and being submissive to his will. Praise God for juss errthang that nite!
