It's hard to believe that our Pope has finally gone before us, to a better place. Its crazy cuz during the anniversary set-up, my uncle and I went to my house, we were listening to the radio and he was still alive. Then when we came back, I got a text from my shepherd saying he was gone. After many yurrs of suffering, he has finally found peace. Whas so cool about all of this is that all eyes is on the church now. I mean, I dont think anyone has gotten so much media attention before, eeven when big sturrs like ronald regan and christopher reeve died, they didnt even get this much attention. Which goes to show how much of an impact the Holy Father has played in the roles of people's lives. Errone compares to him to a loving grandfather, that we all loved and have lost.

Errtime you see it on the news, you can't help to feel like you've lost someone soo close to you. Those people who were able to see the Pope and meet him in person, I'm sure will always remember those encounters. Now, we can only pray for our cardinals, as they elect and choose the new Pope. That the Holy Spirit will be in thurr hearts, as they spend these next couple weeks in prayer and discernment. Maan I'd love to be wandering around the Vatican, checking out all the different thing going on. I am excited to see who our next Pope will be.

Anniversary Poster

Saturday, we celebrated my grandpurrent's 60th anniversary party. I really dont know too many couples who go to 60yurrs. It's quite an accomplishment and something to be proud of. I know Im proud, juss being thurr grandchild. Its crazy to think how their 'I do,' set the record for so many different fruits to bloom. I remember 10 yurrs ago, when we had thurr 50th anniversary, that was cool, now this. I've praying for the past months, since we've planned that God continues to keep bof(esp. my lolo)them healthy, so they can see and celebrate this special occassion. Let's recap the day, for those who missed it.

Praise God for western high school, it meant a lot to me knowing that my ol alma mater was able to help me out. It's so funny cuz I hardly know these kids or dont even know any of them at all. When I went to go watch their int. week, I was really impressed by thurr performances. So then they hooked it up for me, which was really tight. To be honest, I was kinda afraid they might back out last min. but praise God they came through! WHen I told my family, they were so excited about it, that they got goosebumps. Then when they came out, it was funny how errne arrangend their churrs to watch them. They were tight right alaine?! haha! Ü Especially when they rotated the sticks, and did light speed fast, that was d0pe! Good stuff, they rocked!


grandpa julian
Which was very cool was my grandpa julian getting up to dance. This is my lolo's brother, who juss turned 101 in january! Crazy huh! It meant a lot to bof of my grandpurrents to see them thurr as well. Him and my lolo are the only two living members off thurr imediate family. He's always so happy and smiling, I dont think he as much teef or has any at all, thas why he's always smiling. So it was cool that they came out, they very impressed w/errthang, the dancers, the singing, slideshow.

YOu can have your cake and eat it too. Thas wha the SH table did, as I had to go back and forf to that table more than a couple of times. Thank you sam's club for doing a great job on the cake! It looked so perfect that we didnt want to cut it. The pic of my lola is when she was only when she was like 17. Pretty crazy huh! She looked so pretty and she still does today. Then my lolo, gosh dang was he so handsome. Talk bout a filipino james dean! haha jk Then the middle if thurr wedding picture, from 60 yurrs ago.

The guests of honor arrive and they were so excited. This was all a hush-hush suprise until bout the middle of the week. The dress my lola is whurring, is the same dress she wore to my mom's wedding 28 yurrs ago. I love traditions! They were so overwhelmed and touched by errthang, seeing thurr family and friends thurr. Then watching the slideshow, looking back to the ol pics of them growing up and pics of thurr kids, grand-kids, and great-grandkids. Amazing! As many times as I've watched that slide show the past 2 weeks, it always makes me smile. I think thas wha people enjoy most, seeing the fruits that have come out of thurr marriage.

Noreen, sorry I dont got a pic of you! BUT! my family was truly touched by your singing. My lolo waas talking bout you today at denny's. Errone couldnt stop talking bout how great of a job you had done. I mean you were amazing, wow! When I told my mom and titas, I was able to get you to sing, they were soo excited. Maaan errone was so impressed by your voice. Praise God for you! Thanks again!! Thanks to you burr, for playing piano as well, I already rewarded you tonite! Shout outs to boss lady, burr, fred, lon, calvin, alaine, banne, nini, lynlyn, mike tm, and tita linda, for coming out. YOu guys were probably the loudest table out thurr and all I could hurr is calvin's loud laugh and voice. Then you guys having hol em withdrawls, making currds out of table #'s and napkins. OH man you guys are too much haha

This is my baby cousin who is sooooo freakin cute, cuz she makes the cutest facial expressions. She'll cry at first for a while, but then once she wurrms up oh man, she full of cherries. She loves to tease you w/these funny facial expressions. I love holding her, and when she talks its so cute! My grandpurents love getting to see thurr great-grandkids!

Burr and boss lady are gonna be like my next grandpurrents! ha I can so seem them yurrs down the line taking a picture like the black and white one from my blog. My mom said they looked so cute yesterday cuz they were matching! So when they have thurr 60th anniversary, 59 yurrs from now, they can add this pic in thurr slideshow! haha! I love it!


little kids

When I was growing up, we all had 'cliques' within the cousins. It was divided up by age groups. YOu had wha the adults called the 'big kids' those were over 18, the seniors in HS or those juss in college. They always had the advantage to do errthang, go places, do all the fun stuff. Thse were the little kids when I was growing up. Ha the ones that we didnt want to hang out w/the 'big kids.' They were all so small and ghett0 when they were younger. It's funny watching ol home videos of us.

LACC
Then you had 'us' minus one, who were known as the 'LA Cool Cuzins.' So we called ourselves at least! ha ITs funny cuz only two of the four of us were actually from LA. Anywya, we were the middle of the bof sides, we didnt really belong to the 'little kids' and yet we werent actually 'big kids' either. To this day, I dont even know how the four of clicked and became so close. Its funny cuz we were like ehh 4-5th grade, we were so into this singing stuff. We wanted to sturrt a singing group and we called ourselves, 'the LA Cool cousins.' haha! how gay was that! We even wrote I think 1 or 2 songs. I dont even know wha happened to them, but it was fun. Errsummer they'd all come down and we'd spend of wweeks at my house, chillin going to the mall the movies etc. It juss sucked cuz we didnt have a curr, but we had the pool! So we didnt mind.

Then you have dj chris, who helped provide the entertainment for the day. I wish thurr was more dancing, or at least I was thinking thurrd be more. A couple of the kids from western, were dancing the ocho, ocho in the back! haha so funny! I told them to go thurr in the middle and do it. I wasnt paying them for nothing! haha Yess make them feel obligated! haha jk Anyway, you know how thurrs people in your life who are juss really cool people. Chris is one of those people, I always see Christ's light shinning through this guy. Its funny cuz when his mom first sturrted to teach SRE, she was my aide on thursday nites. Ha! Yeah, chris is tight, praise God for his talents and his humility.

Wow that was a lot to talk bout...but I'm not even done yet!!! I have to make up for those past couple of days that I havent blogged. I'm suppose to go back to work tomorrow, and yet I dont even want to go to back. I knew this was gonna happen too. I think imma take a couple more weeks off, I have a doctors notice anyway. My ankle still hurts, in fact erronce in a while I get this pain that kinda shoots up through my leg and it hurts. Im juss skurred to go back and tell them, I can't work yet. Its weird how as much as I may know my bosses, I can never predict their moods.

I had gone to the first talk for the parish mission. This week is special cuz the parish mission is hurr, something sPv has been anticipating and excited for, for months. These priests have come in from chicago to give a full on action pack retreat for the parish. 5 different topics dealing w/the church and it's teachings.

I went to the first one tonite, which was on the 'bible.' Wow, it made me want to go on home and read my bible. I loved how the priest gave the analogy of married couples. He said you can ask any murried couple bout thurr firsts and they can sit and tell you bout thurr first errthang. And thas wha we can say bout the bible, it gives us roots, a firm foundation, and establishes our idenity, who we are as believers, lovers, and as beloveds. Each time we read and shurr these stories, they become as real and as a fresh as the first time they did in the beginning. The bible becomes the story of creation.

One thing that stuck out to me as father was explaining bout the trinity, is that our God is a community of life and love. This is the important thing cuz it affects eerrthang we believe, errtahng is affected by this. Community the keyword...examples:
-GOd said it is not good for man to be alone
-Jesus forms 12 guys into a community of live and love
-On Mount Siani God said if you are my community, I will be your guide
-The first thing Jesus did was build a strong community, his disciples, the last thing he does, is gives us a community-the church.This is what God creates.

Oh man it was so fufilling and I am so glad that I had gone cuz it was sooo helpful. Fr. explained, that the goal of our spiritual life is not to find God. SO often you hurr people say, 'yeah, I am tyring to find God right now...'but yet theyre not really trying. God is searching for us, harder than we ever searched for him. The bible is full of all kinds of literature, of poems, songs, etc. yet in each errcase, we have forgotten who is in love with us. God never sleeps until we he searches and find EVERY human heart and soul and draws them close to him. The bible is evident of that, God wont give up until He wins and thas great hope.

I suggest you go to the next talk tomorrow bout Christ. The symbol of the talk will be the crucifix. Woo! I'm so excited to hurr some of hte rest of the talks. Then the fellowship in the hall was great too afterwurrds. The free snacks that they had, was tight! Afterwurrds, I got to go to boss lady and burr's house and have a seafood medley pasta(i hurr a symphony!haha). Mmmm! it was really good! I love burr and boss lady! yay!!! Oh yah, and boss layd burrburry muffins were tight!!

I havent done this in a while, so I felt it was time to bring it back...

Friday was fun, went to chill w/jesty since he was on his spring break. Went to eat the ol cbs chinese food place, then went to the cerritos mall. Real cool guy to hang out with, we had some great convos too bout errthang. He tolkd me to come by ucla before skool is over so he can give me a tour. yay! It was skurry cuz I had felt for a while that nite I was gonna get sick. I think I was juss tired from all the walking and driving from the day. Had a young adult deanery 4 meeting that nite, maan the turns outs for these past few meetings have sucked. Oh well, I juss hope we can get somethig sturrted for young adults in the summer. yay!

Okay, so I made up this friends quiz, its to see how well yall know me. Now thurrs 10 questions on this quiz.
