1 MONTH IN: It's funny how I had wanted to take it easy for 2009. Not get myself involved with so much and juss take it easy. Already 1 month into the new year and I'm committed into 2 major events. I got talked into doing a 'blind mud run' in June. For some reason I was one of the people asked to do it. It seemed pretty interesting you'll be in a team of 5 with one person being blinfolded and the other person giving directions, while the other 3 are juss there for support. I gotta start training for that maybe this will help me loose some weight and eat healthier too ha. The other thing I got myself involved in is helping to coordinate this play for OLF. Part of the reason I'm doing this is to help a friend out cuz he helped me out w/Oktoberfest. And I'm really big on helping people if they help me out. Then on the side I have all the other things going on UTC, Confirmation, weddings and debuts I'm invited to ahh the fun juss never ends.
SUPER CUTE: So my nephew and neice were over at my grandma's house last nite. My neice is like 1 and my nephew will be turning 3 at the end of this month. Anyway, my uncle was saying how my nephew kai for some reason likes or know the jonas' brothers something of that sort. Anyway, he was singing love bug last nite! ha it was so cute I wish I was able to record it but he was ksining parts of the song aha I was like awwww
TAXES: Im so glad my taxes are in, especially my state taxes! I heard the last day to file w/o having to receive an 'IOU' from the state was the 31st. I cant believe how bad our state is right now. The people of california were stupid to take Gray Davis out of office and now look. On top of that they decided to re-elect a govenor who is super stupid. Im praying that I still have a job at the skool next year. The fortunate thing is that I have a little bit of job cushion only cuz I work in special ed. and the parents of the kid I work with really like me. I think if anything the district should cut from the top and go then go from the bottom. I mean we have 2 asst. superintdenets in a small district made up of 9 elementary skools. To me if she cant handle that job then she shouldn't of applied for it. Anyway, errday it juss seems to get worse and worse :sigh:
iLIFE09: Last week I bought the new iLife for my macbook, it's pretty legit! I love the new features on it especially with the garage band. You can hook up a geetar or piano and has tutorial sessions on it teaching you how to play the instrument. Then when you're feeling pretty confident then you can pay for celeb artists like cobbie calliat and others to teach you some of their songs. The new imovie makes it easier to upload videos to youtube and other sites like facebook etc. on top of that they have cool new theme features you can choose from to enhance your movies. iphoto has this new thing too where you can post face picture of people to make it easier to find pictures youre lookign for it. ilife makes thigns a little easier to use I love it!
RETREAT: A couple of weeks ago we had our annual winter retreat with the youf. For the most part it went well. So many new faces and so many new kids. It brough back memories of when SH did their first youf and young adult LSS how that following tuesday prayer meeting was packed. In fact prayer meetings were jam packed with youf for the rest of that summer. It was great to see the energy and the passion to serve God. The hard part for kids is that they oftne get post retreat life, where it's hard to keep up they want to fall back to their old habits. Plus sometimes retreats for them can be real emotional like that touchy feely stuff it has to be more than that...applying what they learn in real life. Though I think growing up in todays genereation is more difficult then it was in the past. I mean I remember growing up and not having ipods or cell phones or mp3 players. I love ocming back home though after a retreat and juss being able to sleep in your own bed and juss having your own personal time again.
TAGBOARD: The tagboard is killing me cuz it keeps posting up random spam and I always end up ahving to go back and take it off. I dont remember it doing it this much before? Or maybe its juss cuz my tagboard is juss idle now and so its getting hit up w/the spam. Im almost tempted to take it off my blog altogether but I like having it there at the same time.
NOTORIOUS: Oh two weekends ago I watched Notorious with fred and rob. Oh man talk bout old memories ha well more memories for rob and fred but still. I totally remember hearing on the radio bout biggie getting shot ha my freshmen year in high skool. Then I ened up buying the 'Ready to Die' two disc CD. Its funny cuz I dont think kids today if they watched it would fully understand errthang in the movie. Nor would they be able to recall the time line of the events that took place. That guy who played biggie did really well. I heard it took him forever to get the part down on top of that he had to put on more weight too. Ahh the memories of the 90s!
ABDC: This season isn't all that great in fact last season wasn't that great either. I think after the first season the jabas made history raised the bar and that was it. I dont some of these girl dace crews either they tend to get on my nerves. Last week a lot of people were upset taht TM was kicked off so soon. TM was aiight but that group after them kicked ass no doubt! The whole cirucs theme they did with Brittney's song was siiick! Quest did pretty good too, but the other black group who did the mirror song oh man that was juss d0pe!! It'll be interesting to see how far Quest goes. I like telling the kids though the quest is endoresed by the church since quest learning center is in artesia haha. Oh isnt seeing Ryan on quest a dejavu from 'so you think you can dance' season 1?! haaha
"All eyes on me in the center of the ring just like a circus..."im done, im out God bless!
