whoa, whoa, whoa! what a busy day it was! i went to mass this morning, it was a good homily father brennan made today. It was about families, how we all think when we look at certain families and think "wow theyre so perfect and so loving and blah blah." Every family has their sufferings that they go through in life but when those times come you need to pray to the holy family(St. Joseph, Mama Mary & most of all Jesus.) the will help guide your family. THen he talked about New years, ask God what he wants your resoulution to be, not something negative like, "oh imma loose more weight." Stuff that you'll end up breaking within the next two days. I thought it was a great homily that made me think a lot.

Went home ate lunch did some stuff, then layed down for a little while. I was trying to finish my movie i rented, The barbershop. Im almost to the end of the movie, juss as i fell asleep. arch calls me asking me to go eat w/them and the soratorios @ this chinese buffet in stanton. I was so nice and peaceful too, in slumber. Despite the fact i had already eaten, i went anyway to meet them up. The foood was coo, a lot of different varities to choose from especially seafood. We were there for a while, cuz we couldnt stop eating. haha

After lunch arch, mizike, jay and i raced down to cerritos mall trying to help me pick something to wear for tonight. It was so crowded over there, then again when is it not? agh i hate rushing through the malls when im in a hurry, i get so irrtated and impatient. We went to macys and i couldnt find naything there. The store was torn up like no other, the lines were forever long. I was trying to look for a black turtle neck sweater. Then we went to robinsons may also. There selection was a little bit better, so i was able to find this black sweater w/cream cufs @ the end of the sleeves. I was bout to get it, but decided last min. not to. We saw kyle there too @ robinson;s may, i havent seen that foo in ages! haha Went to structure to see if there was something there, but then i thought ill find something @ home. I was too caught up trying to look impressionable and good, that i didnt think alreayd ive spent too much $$ on xmas.

Rushed home endlessly searchign through my closet to find something to wear for tonight. I wish i had more of dress up selection. I think i got rid of all my dress collar shrits from when i worked @ ross. that always happens you get of stuff that you dont think youll need later on, then it happens down the line you do end up needing it. Went to aj;s house to have her help me decide on what to wear. I end up wearing, black sweater, my guess collarlong sleve plaid cream and black shirt, w/docker khakis. I felt uncomfortable cuz i felt underdressed, so it was like ehh for a while. I hate being in a rush forreal!

I went to el capitan to meet up w/jl and mizike, man it felt like hs all over again. Like going to prom all over again, as if im back in hs. Jl looked really nice tonight, she wore this black dress w/this scarf she got from SCRC. Took some pictures over there, then we were off to the ball!

Mizike drove over to the embassy suites right next to the brea mall,in brea of course. now everytime i see that hotel im think of the formal. We got there around 630 or so, then we sat at our table juss looking through the program and saying our hellos to errone. Oxnard was there, man what a long drive for them! Carson was there too, as well as SOL daygo. My date, gail arrived like around id say like 7pm. We matched i guess for the most part, she wore black and i wore black. I didnt recongize her first thoughcuz of the hat she wore, it threw me off! haha
We took group pictures @ first w/my other community L & f in carson. haha Our pose was a "liturgical dance" type of pose. it was funny, i cant wait to see the pictures! then ours was d0pe! it was coo cuz the photographer was all cooperative and let us pose the way we wanted to. We did away w/the usual "hold me" type of pose, instead we had these flowers put on top of the bench and we looked out secretly as if we were "peeping toms." it was coo, it was her idea too so it was nice she was creative w/it.

After the pictures we went back to the table cuz they started to serve the salad for the dinner. We ate a little bit of that, then arrived our main course. the chicken, the rice pilaf and vegetables, i didnt touch the vegetables though. I hate mainly the chicken and the rice. Jl called the chicken, "baby chicken head." they gave us a whole small chicken to eat, i didnt like the black stuff that was stuffed inside of it though, it looked gross. During our dinner, man its already 120 i need to finish this and sleep for i have work @ 7am! SOL provided some entertainment during the dinner. They had the 3 ericks, perform a christmas song which was, the christmas song.(chestnuts roasting on a open fire.) Then we sang silent nite altogether, awwww haha Then they had an "precious moments" skit. they always bust out skits wherever they go! hahaha i told gail theyre gonna do the suicide skit cuz some of them had signs over their head.Then they had what i calledt the "kappa dance." haha Just some of them doing this montage of songs mixed together w/dancing. Like those frat dance performances you see @ clubs. They had a priest who was going to the PI say a few words, they had their elders do a dance too.

Time went by so fast, when youre so filled w/the holy spirit. Thats totally how i felt, cuz i couldnt stop sweating(i knwo sounds gross.) but forreal i kept having to whipe my forehead off. I had a hard time getting into the music cuz they started off playign a lot of country songs, the ones where you electric slide to. I tried to relearn but i couldnt get it i guess. I remember doing it all the time during PE for elementary skool, wha happened! Then they had the macarena playing then they went into this whole 70's period. With ymca and other such 70 type of songs. Then you had the big 80's w/girls juss wanna have fun, and all that kinda fun songs! im suprised they didnt play any 80's freestyle, too bad they didnt. I honestly think the devil tried to ruin errone;s fun cuz they had a lot of probs w/the music. Finally the last hour they got it under control, the devil wasnt bout to ruin all the fun. i mainly chilled w/carson and danced w/them. Theyre a trip! juss lookign @ them makes me tired, charisse man she's wild! haha i can imagine wha she looks like when theyre all clubbin together! wooo the djs took you back to the days when you were kid, w/the whole early 90's mix. Posion, ishesa, every little step i take, shake your butt all those booty dancing type of songs. haha i couldnt stop dancing throughout the stage, i juss had the holy spirit take control hahaha i was dancing w/charisse for a while too, hahaha

The last hour i think was the best part of the evening, all the dancing cuz the music was loud enough and finally under control. It was a very christ centered event, cuz you could tell errone was there to help celebrate Jesus' birfday in a fun special way. Nothing really went wrong, errone was feelin the nite, dancing and eating. We took a lot of different pictures for the evening, im anxious to see wha they turned out to be. I missed my own community tonight though too bad they couldnt be there to join in on the fesitivity. I got to know my date, gail better cuz whenever id go there to carson we never really talked much. She's a creative, d0pe person, very grooooooovy!

Well thas my evening, i think i filled in most of the details. Jl, mizike and i had a lot fun together. it was really, really nice! We even got special gifts, these honey type of corn flakes and this HOly spirit w/hands right behind it. We all joined hands @ the very end of the nite to end the evening in prayer, which was another great thing bout the nite. Thas it for now...till next time!

Thoughts for the day~
1. Pick your outfit ahead of time and not wait last min.
2. Talk to people and get to know people you dont normally talk to or know very well.
3. Pray to the holy family for their help.
4. Know that insecurties are bound to fade.
5. Get out and be crazy and wild sometimes, im sure it gives God a real crack up to see us all dance and what not.
