I present to my grandpa's brother, meet mr. julian parel who is now 100 years old as of the 7th of this month. Wow can you believe it 100 years old! My grandpa is 97 and i pray that he too will soon be on his way to 100. When youre a 100, youve seen it all and this is certainly true for both my grandpa and his brother. MY granda's brother served in WWII, he's seen 18 different presidents, and a whole lot more. He's lived past Bob Hope even! The best part is that he's still strong and healthy. In fact he goes fishing all the time w/his two sons. Why even today juss before his party, he had gone fishing. My grandpa's brother is a happy go lucky guy, always smiling as you can see in the picture.

It was so cute when my grandpa saw his brother walk into the room, he started to cry. The tears from bof of my grandparents were flooding the room. Tears of joy and happiness, knowing that my grandpa can see, remember and witness his older brother's 100 birfday. You know whas crazy, my grandpa and his brother came from a family of 6 kids. 4 girls and 2 boys, these two are the oldest and only surviving members of their family. My whole family were juss full of joy in their hearts. My grandpa's brother was honored w/a special frame w/all this medals from the army, a special birfday card from the mayor from LA and a special framed card also from the President BUsh. Yes, the President of the US.

The place was pretty packed, geez i saw cousins whom ive never even met before. My family is so huge its crazzy! Each kid from his family gave a special presentation and some of the grandchildren did as well. They had a variety of entertainment, one was from Sampaguita Youf Dance Troupe from carson. THat was pretty d0pe, they did all kind of different dances. Then they ended it w/errone's fav the tinkiling. They even had volunteers to go up thurr and try it. IT was so funny cuz my grandpa's sister in law went up to go try it. Then they had family sing a special performance song, which was real nice. WHat was real funny was they had a belly dancer! They put bof my grandpa and his brother out in the middle of the dance floor and she danced for bof of them.

My grandpa's heart was touched, he was able to see his family and see his brother's families fruits. Im telling you thas why marriages are so important now a days. In fact my grandparents will be celebrating their 59th wedding anniversary this april. Thas why its so important to have a strong relationship w/God in the middle of it. He will bless you abdunatly for that. Juss check out my grandparents. The whole entire time my grandpa had turrs in his eyes. Inside the hotel room, when he first saw his brother they were sitting down on the couch together. As they sat my grandpa took his brother's hand and held it tight. God is happiness, God is peace and joy, God is comfort but above all, God is love.

What more can you ask for then a family thas bore the fruits of God. Its juss crazy how you dont really pay so much attention to your family until you get older. I think its then you only realize all the blessings you have in life. How there is juss so much to grateful its not even worf asking for anything more. I only pray that my my grandpa will be able to reach 100, he'll be 98 this septemeber and from thurr he's only 3 yurrs away. Praise God that he's still strong physically, that he can get up each morning and walk. Praise God that he's not lying some kind of bed in a nursing home or in a hospital bed at home. Praise God most of all that he can go to mass each sun. w/his family and receieve his daily bread.

Yesterday i got to chill w/jennif, we had lunch together at paul's place. Then we walked around the bp downtown cuz she wanted to see the changes. We had a fun time even though we didnt go anywhurr furr. Its a great feelin when you either hang out w/a homie whom you havent talked to in forever. Or juss when you get that random call from a homie or you calling that homie. Though sometimes, ha i dont like to do those 'random calls' cuz sometimes i get that feeling the person i call is like 'uh so whatd you call me for?' Oh well all good, the intentions are what counts. I was checking friendster(yes i still use it) and one of the peeps from SCA on the spirit games committee, is friends w/corn! yes corn! Pretty crazzzzy huh?! I gotta ask him next time i see him how he knows corn.

ANyway, i rented freddy vs. jason tonite cuz i was curious to see how the movie went. It was only a $1 to rent so its not like i wasted a whole lot. Kelly from destiny's child is in the movie, you know the girl that sings dilemna w/nelly. Anyway, yeah shes on thurr and this other guy i forgot this name i think hes on charmed or something. Well the movie was pretty retarted and im sure you couldve figured that by juss checking out the previews. Why am i so glad that i didnt go watch the movie in the theatres. So who wins? It turns out to be a draw and at the end of the movie, jason comes out from the lake(after being thrown in thurr, killed already again)holding freddy's head, while freddy winks. The movie is about freddy bring jason back to do some of his work only cuz freddy is too weak to kill. Then freddy gets his strength back and is pissed cuz jason is juss killing errone. Like i said, it was only a freaking dollar, so i didnt loose out.

I was telling Charisee on the phone last nite, so many great things are taking place this month. Good things coming about church wise, and im extremely confident by time december rolls around and were looking back at 2004, were gonna say, 'wow 2004 was such a frutful productive yurr.' I mean geez juss take a look of whas already started even before 2004. The spirit games being produced and juss the bonding, the whole getting to know the already familiarized communites even better and getting to know the new brand new ones. Then SOL has the leadership outreach project already in the works. And we all know when SOL plans something it gets done.

So we have 2 major inner-community projects going on. Then on top of that, we have the annual relays we all go to. SOL youf rally thas in march, then before that we have Liwanag SPirit Rally. Then inbetween all that were gonna have LSS'/GSS', benefit concerts, homeless outreaches, service projects, caroling and why even another SH Cafe! So many great things are happening w/in the catholic communities hurr in Socal that no doubt heaven is smiling down upon our own communities. I am confident too by the end of the yurr our own spirituality will have juss grown trememdously from all these great events and projects. Praise God that were juss so blessed to have not juss one community doing GOd's work but 16 why even more then 16 different ones, all striving for the same goal, all having the same passion inside of them. Wow, i get goosebumps thinking bout it!

Yeah i know they spelled congratulations wrong...haha oh well its the thought that counts! This is a combination of two families coming together for one huge celebration. This is my grandparent's kids and my grandpa's brother's kids. Wow my grandparents have 8 kids, and his brother has 4. Yet bof of our families are so huge.

Hey you know whas funny, the dj played tonite the 'ocho, ocho' song and the 'sex bomb' song i dont know the title to that one. BUt it was the one they were playing at the nini's anniversary party last weekend. Gosh, that was already a week ago, whurr does the time go!? This month is half way over and pretty soon february is gonna be hurr. Time sure does fly, when youre having fun working for God. I know this is real random but hey did yall know b2k broke up?! Crazy huh!
