Another great day, these past couple weekends have been tight. Good times w/good friends. I spent most of the day chillin w/my motha. Went to the westminister mall, then best buy, and then to the bPd. THen i went to the liwanag banquet. I got thurr like an hour early cuz i heard it started @ 6. Oh why?! It was coo i helped w/the rest of the set-up and then was able to man the registration table. Rona and i helped registering the late comers. The banquet was sooooooooooooo filipino time, we didnt even start eating till like 8pm.

THe food was great all catored by various filipino restaraunts. As i was sitting and talking to rona, she really reminded me of Jennif. They had that same type of spunky, friendly personality. WHich is totally cool cuz thas wha helps bring the best of a community, is thur hospitality. So the whole banquet really fit in w/the theme, 'How Beautiful.' Ang and kathee were great emcees. They were perfect fit cuz they're so cheery and full of smiles to keep the crowd growing.

I sat with Chris Beltran who gave me a CD of pics he took @ SH Cafe. Abby, Mark anthony, Tonz, and kristel fama. Mark Anthony and i kept messing w/the candle center pieces to keep the furr going. TOnz looked like she was from that movie 'pleasantville' when they turned color. Haha imma have to post a pic of it. Then leo and cristina came on to announce 'dessert' and it wasnt even real dessert oh why?! haha they had announced the new leadership for next yurr. Angie is the new servant leader for next yurr. WOw how exciting and a long list of vice churrs to help her out.

After dinner thurr was a slideshow of thurr whole yurr. That was cool, i was getting 'community sick' ha seeing thurr yurr in review. Its really cool how SH has gotten to know the UCI communities such as liwanag and YFC better. Being able to work together to help build up the kingdom of God. And to me, really i think its all bout networking. Help each other out, cuz you cant do on your own. So praise God for soo many other catholic communities. They also had a senior slide show honoring the seniors who will be graduating in a couple weeks.

I met Jesus today through each one of those people last nite @ uci. I dont think i need to go into explaination as of why, cuz ive done that already in the past. Juss know if you ever want to meet some really great people and make some really cool friends then you can go to UCI. Ha interfaith is kinda like that ol show 'cheers.' You know how the theme song goes like this...

And really thas wha interfaith is like or rather the whole UCC. Errone knows each other, errone is coo w/each other. To me thas freakin d0pe!
Banne came too and chilled for a while, we danced yay! Then we took a huge group pic that took forever to get organized and get together. I also took a yfc group pic yay! Im excited to see that.

Ive enjoyed these past few weekends cuz they were all spent w/some great Christ-Centered people. As jaymee put in her blog, 'you are who your friends are.' For me i can totally attest to that. Ever since ive been purrt of SH, my life has certainly changed. For the better too, not that i was out on the streets doing drugs or anything. I remember when on of my friends use to go out all the time w/his church friends. He was purrt of a community and hed always come back telling me stories bout them going out to eat or whatever.

I thought that was coo to hang out w/a church group. Thurr would be times he wouldnt chill cuz he was w/his community. So i always wanted a community that i could be around. Praise God cuz my prayer was answered cuz He showed me SH. A great group of friends who have showed me soo much. YOu know 90% of my friends now are from communities. Which i praise God for cuz id rather a group of friends who want to help get me to heaven, then a bunch of friends who will not help me get to heaven.

Thas something i bring up during my 'how to resist evil' talk during youf alpha. You are who your friends are...and its really true if you think bout it. YOu become a reflection of who your friends are. If youre a type of person whos cussing left and right then people know those are the people you chill with. I can think of a person right now who is total reflection of thurr friends. Not the best reflection either...so better to have friends who want to help save your soul then bring you down.

At any rate, hurr are some great memories from the banquet!!! Haha this blog is beginning turn into like a yearbook! haha OH and my tagboard is at the very bottom, i think having an enormous amount of pics pushed the tagboard down to the bottom. So scroolllllll down!

So after dancing the final song, boyz II men 'Bended Knee' w/noreen i was sweating like no other. As SH knows, when i sweat, i sweat. I felt so gross when we were holding hands for the 'Our Father' cuz i was literally dripping sweat. My shirt was like soaked w/sweat! They had this really nice collage of liwanag over the yurrs. Its poster board and it shows liwanag from the very beginning all the way till now. It looks like each yurr a new one was added. In the middle was thurr logo, and its neat cuz you can see how theyre community has grown and changed over the yurrs.

haha thanks for the idea on the printing of my blogs. Maaan God sure gave you right wisdom and discernment when you brought up that idea! THanks though really cuz its real fun looking and reflecting back on it! Maybe you can do the same! haha Then when you have kids later on down the road you can shurr w/them! yay!

agh no i cant be fat!! in fact i told myself last week that imma attempt to jog in the mornings now. Hopefully i can wake up though!
Ideal morning would be mass @ 8am then go jogging right after that.

I know wha you mean, nothing could ever replace a community! Imma miss liwanag much also. Theyre great group of people and im soo glad ive gotten to know them better. YOure a great person joyce and you always make me laugh! haha
