Make it clap!: Praise God for Small Things

I met Jesus the other day, on Friday through these two filipino twin girls. Theyre probably like hmm 3-4 years younger then me. ANyway, so I was leaving the chapel last fri. for mass I saw them come in and wow once again such reverence. I've never seen them at the church before, I know juss about most of the young people only cuz they've gone through the SRE program. Anyway, so I saw them today at the 1215pm mass. I saw them leaving and right before they walkd out the door, they both kneeled and signed themselves w/the sign of the cross. Next time I see them I'll invite them to prayer meeting.

Another busy week lies ahead for me, jury duty on tues. THat should be quite interesting, it'll be my first time. I dont even know what to expect, I'll juss bring my book and wha not to read. I hope I end up getting off early, that'd be tight. Then I'll have the rest of the day to rest and prepare before going to SRE. Imma teach the kids lulaey on tues. and the our father. Yay!! My goal before they leave is to really get them into praise & worship. To hopefully have a full on praise & worship session in the class. That'd be tight!

I was kinda spiritually drained last nite after the whole baptism in the Holy SPirit. Praise God it went real well. Though it really knocked me out afterwurrds, I couldve fallen asleep at mikes. Arlene's talk on praise & worship was real good. I juss liked the way she presented it and how it all juss flowed and made sense. Even though I cant rememeber a lot of it ha juss the comparisons she made were good. Then the after purrty at mikes house was crunk. Oh man the place was packed, literally it felt like an ol skool house party from back in the days of hs. It was to the point whurr the po pos came. Fun times though, the place looked like a club if you saw it.

My cousins birday purty was fun times also! haha The games were freakin hilarious! We first did the balloon stomp, whurr the balloon is tied to your ankle and someones gotta try and pop your balloon. I sturrted to run away and I thought I was doing well too, then I looked and my balloon was popped. Boo! Then we had a fruit by the foot eating contest. The fruit by the foots were hung w/clothespins over string. Then the object was to see who could finish thurrs first. It ended up being a show down being my cousins look a like friend and my cousin. Then we did the cotton ball spoon run. I sturrted gagging as soon I had put the spoon in my mouf ha. THough I ended up winning! yay! The last game was probably the most challenging one. We all got toofpicks to put in our moufs. Then the object was to pass the lifesaver to your partner w/o dropping it. It took forever to do! It was funny though watching errone concentrate so hard on it.

Today I went to 1215pm mass, apparently the electricity on that side of the city went out. Well at least some of it did. The church was real dim and thurr was no sound system working at all. It was kinda nice, I liked it that way. I looked like the ol skool days of the early church, whurr they didnt have sound systems and electricity. I was happy that it didnt come back on during mass haha. Saw some of my kids after mass and that always feels good inside to know that theyre going to mass.

Went to lunch w/abe today at l & l in cerritos. He's a real cool kat, praise God through him helping me out w/confirmation we've gotten to know each other better. Its funny when you think bout generes of music. Like im sure often times when you were younger, you'd be listening to the radio w/the your parents in the curr. They hurr a song and thurr like huh? Whos that person or whas that song. Well on the way back from stacks today we were listening to 'every little step' in my curr. Abe asks me, 'whos this?' I said, 'you dont know?! Ohhhhhh maaaaaaaan! youngin!' So I went on to say, 'bobby brown' After hurring the chorus I guess it sounded more familar to him. I juss thought that was funny.

The American Music was pretty cool. I missed kanye west's performance oh why?! Alicia keys looked wow tonite! If thurs one performer that's tight its her, she's freakin multi talented. Ha thatd be d0pe if she was purrt of SH! haha I loved her performance w/usher that was cool. YOu can see the charisma they shurr together. I think theyd make a good couple, then again thas wha we all said bout usher and chilli, then look wha happened. ha The snoop and pharrell was alright, ha it wasnt anything too extravagant. Jamie Fox looks so young even though hes like almost 40 I think!
