And Here's Another One...
"I worry until midnight, and from then on I let God worry..."
Happy birfday toni rose lozada! Oh man if thurrs one person who you should really get to know, its toni. One of the first of many people I first met @ yfc. I remember hurring her yfc conference testimony bout hurr shurring this dire need to get to confession. How despite the fact the line was forever long she went. She's my 'bPc' fo life friend, my spirit games partner in crime mc and all along a really swe3t person. Its her personality and the simplicity in her that makes her so fun to talk to. Geez, she's even helped out at a couple SH events being purrt of the music min. Now thas wha you call true service right thurr! She's always willnig to lend a helping hand! So tonz, may God continue to guide you, bless you, and keep you safe!
So, I had this study session at skool today for my history class. Agh, the instructor was late! Oh why?! THought it was really productive and it helped clarify a lot. I like the instructor cuz he makes class interesting, juss it brings it alive. THe only thing thas hurrd is that he lectures real fast cuz thurrs juss so much material to cover and go over. IT was coo cuz it was very informal and he talked bout teaching styles and wha he believes in etc. etc. After on the way home I stopped by to get something to eat. Ran into sheri meyer i think thas her last name.
I didnt get to work till 3pm, I was kinda worried cuz even though I told my boss I may be late, i thought he might say something. THough he didnt praise God! I was so busy setting things up and breaking things down. Then I was doing programming from 330-5 and whoa thurr was a lot of kids today. Praise God! One of my parents brought it some other kids from her daughter's skool. I was grateful how supportive and umm helpful she's been. My coworker said to me, 'you know we spend more time doing set-ups and break downs, then we do actually doing programs.' Which I thought was a good point errday I'm either setting something up or cleaning something up. Agh!
I went to the youf forum last nite @ sPv, I was expecting more people. Anyway, I think it went pretty well. At least thurrs some foundation on whurr to begin and wha the 'youf' feel the parish needs. Oh my gosh so one of hte guys from spy brought up the fact or concern that sre program is boring. Went on to bash how the curriculum needs to be changed blah blah. Then talked bout how kids are being graded or they get points for ex. bringing in thurr bible or whatever. I took offense cuz that comment directly was geared towards the way I teach my class.
Sooooooooooooooooooooo if you know me, you know I dont juss sit back, I speak my mind. I got up and said, well in response to that comment, first off, if you feel the curriculum or feel the program is boring, then get involved. VOlunteer help out...the problem with those kids who walk in to the program is that their mind is closed already. They're not willing to cooperate w/the spirit and juss open themselves up. Which is expected cuz thurr young...Then in regards to grading point system etc. Im not gonna juss sit back and let these kids pass w/o having to work for it. Im not going to lead them to believe that its okay no matter wha happens thurr gonna make thurr sacarments. We work for our faith, we work for our salvation, nothing is free ride in life.
Then the idea was brought up of getting together and getting to know the different ministries that work w/the youf in the parish. I suggested in putting together a collaborative, these ministries coming together on a monthly basis and planning something for the youf of the parish. Hence, kinda like spirit games! haha yay! Actually, I brought up spirit games and the concept to the group. It was funny cuz when I mentioned it, I looked at jaymee, maurice, and reirich the expression of thurr face was so funny. haha
Afterwurrds, I went to the sfc empowerement, they were preparing for the baptism in the spirit on sat. Praise God cuz I really felt the spirit moving throughtout the room last nite. Its funny to go from one type of environmental setting of people to a whole different one. I felt so tired though, but praise God for the energy he gives me. Realization last nite on how you think you know people, but in the end you really dont. Kinda like hmm that show 'diary' on mtv, 'you think you know, but you ahve no idea.' So its funny how people and thurr personalities change, oh well thas life. WHenver I'm standing in line for confession @ sPc I always have a hurrd time listening to the homily. Its like thurr sound system is unclurr or something. I dloaded this accoustic version of 'more than words' its tight!
"This is generation of those who seek the Lord..."im done, im out God bless!
