Being Used...By the Holy Spirit That Is!

"His Majesty, The Lord, rewards great sevices with trials, and there can be no better reward, for out of trials springs love for God..."

Oh man i can certainly attest to this quote, as for im sure the rest of my brothers and sisters from the spirit games committee. Sometimes as much as difficult as they are trials can certainly be a good thing. Especially in regards to serving for the Lord. From our very first meeting in carson back in november, it was already diffcult. Well maybe im exaggerating a bit, but we(the committee) had a difficult time a) choosing a date to have spirit games and b) finding a place to have it. In February prayers were answered as it was confirmed that the 1st annual spirit games would be at Temple City, St. Lukes.

Though, we thought the road was paved out for us, it began to get a little rough. God took away our venue asking us 'Do we trust Him?' So began the discerning process of whether this was really in God's plan to have this or not. As always GOd provides for us as he gave us UCI. That wasnt even the end of it. Last minute looking for a priest to take care of the opening ceremonies mass. In the end, all the trials that were set in our path, was certaintly worf it all. Exactly, as this quote says The Lord rewards great services with trials. And yes, we even the people participating in the event whurr awarded from the struggles of doing spirit games. And yes too, thurr is no better reward from all these trials then to find that love for God. Praise Him!!!

I had planned on going to the 1045am mass but unfortunately i over slept causing me to wake up @ 1030am. I sturrted to rush to get ready and errthang, then thinking maybe i can get to the 11am one @ holy fam bam. Then by the time i realized that it was too late for that one too. Ahh i figured i mine as well juss get to 1215pm @ sPv. Fr. Ray's homily was a juss stupendous yesterday! He talked bout letting go and being used by the Holy Spirit. The same way Mama Mary did in famous magificant. Mama Mary's openess to the Holy Spirit is a model for us. God's plan for us are often larger than we can even imagine/comprehend.

One might think though, 'pssh me?!' God cant do anything w/me, people dont even know the otherside of me. WRONG! Lesson #1, never doubt God, doubting God is a sin. Nothing is impossible w/God! Lesson #2, God did miraculous things w/such people some of the peeps in the ol testament like abraham and turned saul into paul who wrote bout 1/4 of the new testament. Check out peter who denied Jesus, 3 freakin times during the crucifixion and became the 1st Pope in our church. So God can do great things in them, He can certainly do great things in us as well. We juss gotta be open and yield to His spirit.

After mass i went to my grandparents house and i was watching my grandpa, while the rest of the fam bam went to visit my cousin in the hospital. Anyway, my grandpa is juss amazing, he's juss d0pe. I pray errday that God continues to keep going strong and healthy. Its amazing to see him to be able to walk, eat normal good food, remember the names of his family and soo much more. Granted, he's not as strong as he was before but at least he can walk around in a walker rather be bed ridden errday for the rest of his life. He's gonna be 95 next september, im praying that God will let him live past 100 juss like his brother.

So i was so bored yesterday i ended up driving down to t,t,t,t-meec! haha Yeah i drove all the way to temecula juss to chill w/julie. The drive wasnt that bad, its only an hour its juss once you get on the 15 it feels like youre driving forever! I cant believe how she does all the freakin time. Id get so turrd of driving out to the different places errday. We down to daygo went to the belmont boardwalk and juss walked around. Thurr wasnt much to see really, being it was a sun. nite. After we decided to go downtown daygo aka the gas lamp. That was kinda fun, we ate at fridays, this guy next to us was our entertainment as he was dancing and singing to the songs playing. I was a little upset cuz my fridays coupon, i dindt know it was only for appetizers up to $8. We ended up getting two appetizers and i wanted to use it for the $12 one. Agh! I kinda wanted to complain, but i let it go.

Then oh man on the way home for the parking, we couldnt get validated. So we decided we'd juss pay the fee. WEll it turns out parking is $2 per 20 min. We whurr thurr for like an 1.5 hours. THe fee came up to be $12! Awww heck! I had only $5 cash, and she didnt have anything so i was like do you accept credit curds? The lady said only cash or check, so i was getting skurred cuz we didnt have anything. Luckily Julie had a check on her so she paid for the purrking to get out. Ha Feeling still a little adventerous we stopped by pechanga on the way home. Ive never been thurr before, so it was quite an experience. Really made me want to go to vegas. ANyway, julie watched me loose $5 in 10 min. on 4 different slot machines! ha fun times!

Praise God for Aalaine whooo talked me and prayed the rosary w/me the whole 1 hour drive home. Maan i was so happy once i saw the knott ave. exit cuz i was almost home! I got home before 2, praise GOd and i showered and knocked out. Its a long drive down thurr to drive from bpC to temec is one hour, then to tmec to daygo is anotha hour. I went from havnig a full tank of gas to nothing by the end of the nite. Thas crazzy and i juss gased up on sat. nite too!
