It's all Coming Together...

I need a hurrcut, but i dont think i have the time to get one in all the madness of the day. One day before the big day. Wow it kinda feels like the day before your HS graduation, whurr youre juss excited, yet nervous, and have all these emotions mixed inside of you. Never the less though, praise God! Last nite was juss great, spent some really good qt w/Jesus at sPc. Yess i got the code to get inside! haha And no they dont juss give the code to potential religous either. Within this past week juss trying to take deep breaths and tell myself, 'let go and let God.'

I went to soak city yesterday w/work and well it wasnt the most exciting day. Ha id probably wouldve liked to juss stay back but in order for my kids to go i had to go. And i already had told my kids at the beginning of the week some of them who are well behaved would be able to go. Sooo it would suck for them not to be able to go cuz i didnt want to go. Ha I had lost my phone thurr, it some how dropped out of my bag. Praise God for honest people who turned it in at the lost and found. Praise God for St. Anthony who was praying for me hoping id find it. The park is too small and its too hard to go thurr w/a bunch of small kids. I fell asleep on the river tube ride, the one whurr you juss sit in the tube and chill. Ha the purrt that sucks is when people splash/kick water on you, thas when i end up having to wake up and give them durrty looks. AGh! they disturbed my sleep!

I had a really nice long talk w/cy last nite. We were on the phone for almost like two hours straight. THough it was a really good convo. Juss reflecting back on the journey of spirit games and how much we as a core have accomplished. The trials that God put in our paths, from not having a venue, to loosing the venue, to not having a priest and finding one. We were saying, GOd must've really wanted this to happen. And through each difficulty thurr God was through it all saying, 'juss trust me, trust me.' Yet thurr i was saying, 'but Lord, im afraid, i dont know.' In the end as always provided for us.

Im praying that this will be a fruitful event, one that will continue to go on for yurrs. So when it reaches the 10th anniversary, when im 32 i can come back and say Praise God its lasted this long! One of the best purrts of doing this whole spirit games shindig, is juss the friendships and people ive connected with along the journey. I told cy, i remember clurrly the day when mark anthony and i went down to st. lukes to find out we no longer had their parish as a vendor. Thurr God was working through mark anthony calming me down telling me errthang was gonna be alright. I dont know wha i wouldve done if i had gone down thurr by myself.

Then juss the others who have really lit the path for me throughout this journey. The HOJ people, jon, bev, and matt, no matter wha i asked them to help me w/i knew i could count on them to do it. With each meeting they were all thurr reporting back to us, the things they accomplished. Praise God! Jon, who totally picked up the games ministry after it being handed down to him w/o any complaining or anything. His patience when teaching us and explaining the game was amazing. Leo who churrged all uci churrges to his student account, so this function can happen. Him being the main contact person between UCI and Spirit Games. Im so freakin grateful for all of them.

As ive mentioned before in the past, never in my two yurrs of ministry have ive seen/heard of a yurr with sooo many community wide events. This past yurr was great and i think thas wha 2004 will be remembered as, 'Being One Body in Christ.' Communities coming together, working together to bring a little heaven down hurr. Cyril told me the thing bout the meetings was that they were so informal and never once did she dread bout having to go a spirit games meeting. The same w/me i always looked forward to them cuz they were so funny. At the same time we all got to see the different parishes.

Geez i remember our very first meeting @ St. Phil in carson. The vision was juss barely beginning and now its coming picture perfect. I really am excited for this! I praise God for my own community who has supported me and has had my back since day one. Within this past week, theyve been such a blessing. Praying for me, checking up on me, and juss offering their services to help out. Im not lucky, but blessed to have such a great 2nd family. I betta see you thurr pops too!!!! God knew wha he was doing when he moved spirit games to UCI.

Errone who confirmed that was gonna come came and more! Praise God! There were leaders that ive never seen/met before. Wow im so excited for the now called, 'spirit games.' We had memebers from SOL, LF, SH, Liwanag, SLY, Lambs of Christ, Student Catholic Assoc., YFC, HEart of Jesus, YOuf Coming together, Alliance of two hearts.
So we tenatively planned it for Sat. Aug. 7. Please pray w/us that nothing will be going on that day w/the different communities.

And Although people want to see NiniFish in 05, its not going to happen. Ha im excited to see new leaders step up and grow. Help putting this together has been fun, full of blessings, and never the less exciting, though how will other people better the event and make it grow if not new leaders step up? Im praying and i know God will provide, two great leaders that will take churrge of Spirit Games in 2005 but until then...

And so Lord, please accept this humble offering we give to for your better glory...
