The Big Week!

Wow so the big week is hurr, after months and months of planning and meeting its all coming together. Praise God for His hand working through all of it. I can still clurrly remember talking bout this w/charisse way back in november after thurr prayer meeting. Then making it official of actually sturting it and putting it together. With each meeting that passed by God continued to bless us. Sometimes those blessings whurr trials, calling us the core to juss hang on. To trust in Him for He's not going to dissapoint us. I cant even begin to explain how thankful i am to Him for putting this all together and making it happen. Im so grateful for the leaders who have stepped up answered the calling and help make it happen. Praise God!

I cant even believe wha a weekend this has been for me. Driving back and forth from riverside two nites in a row. Saturday, after work and going to mass i drove back down for the 2nd day of the conference. Originally, i was going to go straight after work but i decided to head down thurr in the evening. Agh i was getting real impatient on saturday cuz i had to wait for someone and she was taking forreeever. Anyway by the time we got thurr praise & worship had juss ended. I saw fred thurr it was coo to see a familiar face that i knew. Jordan helped tanya and i find a seat iin the front as we sat w/wha jersey, maryland folks.

I really felt that i was at some type of political convention! Juss cuz they had delgates from all ova the US. So we had talks and shurrings and more talks and more shurrings. AGh that session was sooo long, sometimes filipinos really have no sense of time. We did this activity before hand whurr we were given ashes. We were told to put the ashes all over ourselves as a sign of sin that we do. THen later when we whurr ready to wash it, they gave us YFc towels and we washed the ash off w/water. A sign of how God cleanses us from our sins when we fall.

After all that we had this really d0pe praise & worship jam session. The Holy SPirit was truly present that nite as kids were getting 'slain/resting in the spirit.' I really think this was an eye opener for many young folks and they were soo overwhelmed w/love for the Lord that spirit juss touched them. I was able to record and take pics of some of the praise & worship session. THen they dismissed errone to go to the different dances that was going on. THurr was hip hop club, 80's club, and then original accoustaic song. IT was madness as errone walked out of the building but then i finally was able to see the yfc i knew. GOod stuff!

I kinda juss walked around that nite trying ot fufill my goal of meeting one yfcer from all 50 states. THough julie ended up telling me its impossible cuz not all the new states whurr thurr @ the conference. Oh why?! so i settled w/juss meeting the ones from florida, texas, new jersey, maryland, and some whurr else i forgot. It was cool though running into the all different people from all over. Started w/checking out the 80's room which got turned into the hip-hop club. Then was outside listening off and on to the original song competition.

Finally it was getting late and i knew i had work early in the mornin. SO before i left, i made my mark all over the UCR campus. I dropped Spirit Games fliers all around the main areas of the campus. Ha its so funny cuz toni told me last nite that when her and kristal fama saw the fliers they said, 'jasonfish has marked his territory!' haha kinda like how zorro marks his w/the 'Z.' I did mine w/the fliers, so hopefully capturing people's attention. Fun stuff! haha

Yesterday was summerfest and im so glad its over. The biggest city event of yurr w/food, games, entertainment, and more. This yurr the set-up and errthang ran a lot smoother then in the past. We didnt have to bring our own tables and other stuff. I had many run-ins w/people yesterday ha this mexican guy wanted to kill me! ha oh man...i wasnt the most favorable person, though wha was coo is one of the non-profit food vendors gave me a discount on my food! haha i love it! Jesty had a lot of fun too yesterday this being his first summerfest. It was really good to see the staff is a lot bigger then in the past yurrs. Praise God its over!

I came home soaked my feet and then took a small nap. Woke up and then mark anthony called me and told me bout a yfc victory purrty. I wasnt going to go cuz it was all the wya in freakin norfridge, but i went anyway. Went over and rode w/the rest of the YFC UCIers over thurr. Ha we got thurr @ 10pm and then it was over by 12:30. Ha the house was freakin huge oh my!!! They even had a pool and like patio deck behind it. Wow i felt like i was at some celeb. purtty...forreal. On top of all that thurr was yfc from all over like i ended up talking to this one guy from maryland last nite. Good convo. he reminded me a lot of pops juss the way he percieves things.

I was telling monique on the way back home that im glad confernce was in cali this yurr. We were thinking imagine all those other yfcers from other states who gotta find a place to sleep still. Then gotta drive all the way back to whosever house theyre gonna be staying at. Then getting adjusted w/thurr stuff and all that. Whurr as w/us errthang is in the comfort of our own home. Ahh so next yurrs conference in ohio, so im hoping that id be able to go to that one and actually enjoy the whole thing. Rather then only going to bits and pieces.
