MORE BIRFDAYS: Man its the months of summer that I broke w/graduations and birfdays up the butt. Then this year, there's a few more twists w/a couple of weddings thrown in. Yikes! Anyway, today is one of my former student's birfday. He's turning the big 1-6...yup, I'm sure we all remember those days. 16...the year where you can't wait to go to the dmv and get your license. Where does the time go by? This is justin, one of the many justin's I had in my class, one of my ol skool kids, that I had from the very beginning. His family is wonderful they've always been so hospitable to me. He was one of the kids that God confrimed that the decisions I were making were the right ones. I dont know if that all made sense, but oh well. So his dad told him to go mass for his birfday, I invited myself to go w/him ha. Besides, it's been a while since I've gone to daily mass.

UPSIDE DOWN: I heard the craziest story today bout someone that I know. Without going into details, it's sad when people make the wrong choices and it costs them errthang. I know we've all heard stories on the news bout kids, parents, teachers, etc. who had errthang going for them, yet one stupid mistake cost them their whole life. To have your whole life change before you with juss a snap of a finger is crazy. From one min. living a regular life and then the next having to adapt to a whole new environment. Its juss made me realize the importance of asking the Holy Spirit to competley guide our thoughts and actions. To really pray and discern before making a decision. Praise God...

HOOKED ON A FEELIN: That wedding program/cd that I found yeserday is tight. I'm really feelin the tracks on the cd. It's so funny I was showing my mom today the program. She got all emo over it and she doesnt even know the people! ha! So she asked if she could have it as I guess sample or whatever so in case my sister or whoever gets married. Then she asked if she could keep the cd cuz she wsa feelin the music too. The tracks on that cd are bomb, I love that song 'hooked on a feeling.'

CALMNESS AND PEACE: Yesterday, while talking to Fr. Breannan, I realized that I'm going to miss the augustians. I praise God for the service they've done to sPv all these, building the parish to wha it is now. It's gonna be I'm sure a difficult change to get use to a whole new set of priests. So anyway, fr. suggested to me, that whenever I feel real angry or upset or whatever, say the prayer, 'Come Holy Spirit, fill my heart with love.' To repeat the short prayer as many times needed until you feel at peace. I like it cuz its short, simple, and easy to remember. I know I'll be using that prayer quite often. Praise God!

UNEXPECTED: I'm kinda nervous cuz I have my preop for surgery today. I'm juss really praying that things go well. Friday is the surgery in fullerton, I'll be in and out. Gosh, I hope I dont feel all sick and groggy the rest of the day. Im juss hoping that the recovery wont take as long as last time. Who knows it might be completely different being its a new doctor and errthang. I feel like this is a whole saga thing and it's finally coming to an end on fri. I really ask for your prayers this week, and for friday especially.

BONDING: Today was fun, I spent the afternoon bonding w/my two aunts and my mom. We went to the cerritos mall. Yay my mom bought me jeans! woO! Anyway, my family can be a real trip sometimes. I think our family gatherings are very americanized, compare to I'm sure most filipino parties. I noticed one of the things we like to do, is juss enjoy each others company. We're not really into the whole 'magic mic' thing or playing games or whatever. We can juss chill and go on talking for hours bout a-z. Family is a great thing, I love them.

CAROLINE'S PARTY: I forgot to add a special birfday shout out to caroline. I've only really gotten to know her these past few months. THough I can say that I always manage to see the face of Christ through her. Always so thoughtful, happy, and spirit filled; we have some great conversations. Anyway, I had stopped by real late for her birfday celebration which was fun. Getting dizzy playing spiderman on xbox w/her nephew, holding her other chubby little nephew that is juss the cutest baby! Agh, I juss wanted to eat the kid! OH yeah you should see the thing she made me. It's tight cuz it has the pics of the 3 confirmation classes, and then pics of three of us. Yay! Thanks caroline for a d0pe time today, thank you for being that reflection and instrument of God's light and love. May He continue to bless you and your family w/joy, happiness, and more.

TRICKS ARE FOR KIDS: Check it, I was playing xbox, 'spiderman' with caroline and felipe's nephew in the room. The kid's only 6 right, so keep that in min. We were playing, and we decided whoever died would give up the controller. Basically, we were taking turns with the game. Well, it took me a while trying to track down the bad guys and I think the kid was getting imaptient cuz he really wanted to play. So he tells me, while I was swinging to juss drop and press 'A.' I ended up pressing 'A' and I freakin fell to the ground and died. Aghh I got tricked! haha It was funny cuz he kept trying to trick me so I'd loose so I could give the controller to him.

SIMPSONS: Felipe and I were on the couch chillin watching the simpsons tonite and it was freakin hillarious! I had asked all these different people if they had seen it and no one did. Only one of my kids did. The episode was bout bart being expelled from public skool, so marge and homer moved him to a catholic skool. Well wha ended up happening is that bart and homer ended up falling in love w/the Catholic church. While marge and the rest of community, were fighting to bring the two of them back. The way they portrayed catholics were soo sterotypical, in regards to ethnicities. At least though, nothing negative was said bout the church. So there was this one part where they were all at the dinner table eating. Marge was talking bout how she doesnt like the idea of bart getting too attached ot the catholicism. Then made a comment bout a catholic mass is like a game of simon says, 'stand up, sit down.' THen bart said to her, 'mom thas blasphemy! But I'll pray a rosary for you.' hahahahah oh man I couldnt stop laughing it was hilarious. Probably, one of my fav all time episodes!

PRAYER REQUESTS: Please pray for a friend of mine, that he wont loose his mom to the protestant church. He texted me this morning asking me to pray for his mom. Wow I thought to myself, I wouldnt of never thought or expected. THough its not a coincidence this was happening on the birfday of the church. Its good to see that a person who once was confused himself and thinking of converting, has found his love in the catholic church. Also if you can please continue to pray for my kids. Especially the one who will be going into battle at skool tomorrrow to defend his faith. Pray that he may do it w/love and by example and that the person may be opened. One more thing, pray for my pre op appointment today also! thanks! And as always youre in my prayers.
