Happy Birfday To Mother Church
"They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak in foreign languages as the Spirit gave them the gift of speech..."Acts 2:4
CELEBRATIONS: Today marks the birfday of the church, when the apostles were in the upper room and the Holy Spirit juss bursted in. From that point on they werent afraid anymore, they were filled with the SPirit to go out and spread the word. Wow wha amazing gifts they had and courage no matter wha the costs were they did it. The church today, has gone through some rough times. I mean heck there was even a point where there was two different Popes! Yet, despite all the struggles its had, we can proudly say the church is still here today. Penetecost truly is something really cool to celebrate. I took that picture at mission San Juan Cap a few years back, I thought this picture and the one below totally fits the feast day.
TOunges of fire
BLAZING HOT: You know when summer is quickly approaching when the weather is real hot! This past week its been really warm outside, where it totally feel like them summer days. The days of bbq at the beaches, chillin on a sunday afternoon w/friends, riding them bikes staying up late looking at the stars. Ahh yes, I cant wait for those summer days to come. HS summer days though were the best. Didnt really have a job, juss went out, movies, bowling, stay out late and sleep in the next morinng. Wake up and then start all ova again, ahh those were the days. No work, no skool, no bills, nothing to worry about.
Wedding
FINDERS KEEPERS: I had gone to sPv yesterday and errtime I happen to go on a weekend, there's always a wedding. So anyway, coming back from the chapel, I saw one of the wedding programs on the ground. Obviously, I picked it up to see who the couple were. Oh yeah, I some uci people there too. ANyway, checked it out and wow it was a hardcore program. It had the whole mass in it, and everything! Then in the back, they had tissue for 'your tears of joy.' Oh yeah the material of the program was like a cd single cover. Inside of the program was the CD of all their fav songs I imagine. I almost felt like as if I was at the wedding myself ha
Luda
LUDACRIS: So at my family party, there was this guy who was my cousin's friend. I've met him a couple of times before and each time I see him I always think of ludacris. It's so funny cuz when he came in the house, first thing I thought of was ludacris. He kinda looks like him if you look, well maybe not. It may one of those people where you juss gotta see in person to get it. Anyway, he's a cool guy especially cuz he reminds of ludacris. STAND UP! haha
Brookyln
I LOVE NYC: My little niece brooklyn, is juss soo freakin cute. I love the new babies in my family, they're soo cute that you juss want to them to stay forever. She's only a year old and she's already talking like crazy. I was asking her to come to me and she goes 'no, no, no.' Then I got to hold my other nephwew, whos only 3 months old. Kai, is a tight name, I think I'd name my kid Kai. Then my other cousin is going to be leaving to the NYC in august. She'll be going to NYU for her denstiry skool. It's sad cuz she wont be around family parties and such anymore. Though the benefit is, at least I'll have some place to stay in the NYC now. WoOO!! Who's down to take a trip to new york?! It is the city of dreams...ha so they say at least.
LACC
FIVE PEOPLE: YOu ever go to parties where you really dont know peeps. ANyway, so my cousin had her friends from skool at her party. I was kinda chillin watching errone else play hol em, and then I heard them talk bout politics and such. I couldnt help but to kinda jump into the conversation. Its always interesting to talk bout world issues w/people who share some of the same views you do. To me, its important to stay up to date w/current events, whas happening in the world. It's the only way you'll know whas going on.
ST. CATHERINE OF SIENA: Ever since I started to read this book again, I've learned soo much about this saint. I only wish there was still SRE, so I could tell my class bout how wonderful she was. THe kinda of life she lived and the sacarfices she made. Even when she was dying she still did wha she could to protect the church. She was obedient even in the toughest decisions, she stood by the teachings of the church. When I'm finished w/the book, imma have to dedicate a whole entry on her stuff. One of the things that really caught my eye was her final prayer while dying she said, 'O Eternal God, accept the sacrafice of my life for the mystical body of Thy holy Church. I have nothing to give save that which Thou hast given to me. Take my heart then, and press it out over the face of Thy Spouse!'
"Come Holy Spirit of love, come and take control..."
