"Conversion is not a once upon lifetime conversion. Conversion is something that should happen everyday..."

I thought id start off my entry by telling yall something really nice that happened at work the other day. It was bout 30 min before closing and one of the parents whos children attend my program comes in. She hands me a flyer for Tito Jess' talk thas happening next wed. SHe told me she was juss at St. Joseph's book store and thought id be interested in the talk. I told her i had taken his class before and i know tito jess personally. I thought that was totally cool juss how she took the time out to promote tito jess' talk. Praise God for catholics in the work place!

The day was pretty busy, one thing right after the other took place. I had gone to bannes for breakfast, she made me her infamous hawaiian grilled cheese rolls. On top of that we had omlett w/kalbasa sasuage w/cheese. It was really good, so next time its gonna be my turn for the mini iron chef to whip up one of this dishes for her. Despite the fact i was tired, and was almost gonna postpone it was really worf it. It was good way to start the morning w/a great breakfast. THen i had gone home for a small nap, until charisee called and woke me up. Ha its coo though im glad to help out a sista in CHrist. I guess ti was good she woke me up cuz it was time to get ready to leave for turn around skit practice.

I had gone to LF last nite juss in time for fr. raymond talk bout backsliding. It was a really good talk that had a lot of meaning. Backsliding is like a spiritual cancer that eats away at your soul. In fact like the disease you dont even know you have it. Its like going back to sin. This condition is a gradual, worsening condition weakens our spiritual condition. Frustration, emptiness, discouragement, dryness and laziness all feelings and experiences of backsliding. SO wha are the causes of backsliding? Hurr are some of hte common causes:
1. Lack of sufficient grounding-you cant do it on your own, you gotta get yourself in a community.
2. Love of the world-no closure to the previous life.
3. Temptation
4. Santanic Reception-He knows our weaknesses
5. Persecution and affliction
6. Offenses
7. Breakdown of Spiritual discipline
8. False conversion

With causes there are results of wha happens to us when we fall into Spiritual backsliding.
1. OUr condition grows worse then in the beginning
2. Bondage and oppression-you feel as if youre being controlled
3. Cursing, dissapointment
4. Shame & guilt
5. Spiritual unworthiness-Feel as if no matter how big youre sins are the Lord will never forgive them.

The talk was something i really needed to hurr. The talk was very motivational, it made me realize how really deadly this spiritual disease is. I had asked fr. raymond too if hed be interested in possibly giving a talk later on in the future for prayer meeting. Fr. raymond is d0pe he tells you how it is, but always in a loving way. One of those priests who really currs for the souls he administers too and wants nothing but the best for them. He's got quite the sense humor also. So in conclusion hahaa jk but on the reals, its something that spoke out to me and inspired me.

Afterwards, we had all gone to starbucks at the crossroads. LF is always down for some good ol fellowship after prayer meeting. IT was tight we were all jammin to these ol skool jams errthang from lisa lisa, the go gos to even montell jordan! ha i think the best was the ginuwine pony song we were all singing. Earlier charisse called me and told me bout her answered prayer after confession. We bof talked bout juss working together has become a real blessing. Always good to know that there is someone out thurr walking the same walk w/you. Had a good convo w/anthony bout family and spirituality. Also why he'll randomly bone out while talking online. ha now i understand, so next time he bones ill know why.
