Yesterday was pretty cool, we had a our first bio test and i think i did alright for the most part. I like how we can work in groups for the second part. It gives us a chance to redeem ourselves if we messed up on the first part. Then i had some time to kill in between classes, so i dont even rememeber wha i did. As the burr would put it, 'it was such a blur to me.' haahha Oh i remember now, i was juss walking around and reading the paper. Had nothing else really to do, so i walked around campus getting excercise.
After skool, i picked up my mom and we attempetd to go that 'manila grille' right off the 91e exit on knott. THough when we got in, i wasnt too excited over the choices. So we ended up getting take out at matiki and ooh how i love matiki, i gotta take some of yall over thurr sometime. THey have some of the greatest teriyaki beef/chicken bowls. I think its a lot better than L & l. Its like a small hole in the wall joint owned my samoans but theyre so good. Anyway, so that was a good lunch, my mother took me out! yay!
Work was coo, apparently, thurr was no drama at city council meeting last nite. Which is good, but i wanted to hurr juicy drama! haha THe new community center name is going ot be called, 'Stanton Community Services Center.' Haha not too creative, but i guess thas what City Council chose and wanted. WEnt to the apt. complex and i did my weekly programming over thurr. It was coo, one of my supervisors came out and complimented me on my programs. I was getting good raitings from the apt. complex manager. Then at the end while was cleaning up and putting stuff away, a group of small kids had the oddesity to go and open the back of the trck and jack one of the carrom board sticks.
I started to run after them and then they dropped it. So after cleaning errthang up and juss bout ready to go, i went over to whurr the kids whurr. They all tried to hide and then came out later on. Stupid! if youre gonna hide, hide dont come out! Anyway, so i yelled at them and told them that theyre stealing city property and if they continue to do stuff like that i wont come out anymore. Besides that, they take away things from all the other kids who enjoy playing w/the carrom boards. THen i was real blunt and harsh, and i said, 'if i dont come out hurr anymore, then its gonna be your fault!' Then i said i this is your warning, but next time, i wont do this stuff anymore. Told the apt. manager and she was in full agreement.
Later on i came back and i donated blood. We had a blood drive going on all afternoon, so i figured id help out. ITs been a couple of yurrs since ive donated, so it was kinda ehh at first. My index finger still kinda hurts whurr they punch it and test your iron. The funny part was when as i was laying down, the nurse poked the needle in my vein and then blood squirrted out! hahha She goes oOoh you got a juicy vein! I always got good veins whenever they have to poke me w/needles. Man, i guess i mustve drank a lot of fluids today cuz my blood filled up a bag in like 3-5 min! Crazzy! this one lady after me she was sittign thurr for 20 min and she couldnt even fill up the whole bag. Her arm is all bruise from moving the needle around. eehh! Then afterwards whurr they have you sit down for about 15 min to regain yourself. I couldnt even do that! I only sat down for like 10 min. i couldnt even sit still, i was getting restless.
Came home and then since YFc was having a study nite, i decided to pay a visit to my friends in the LbC. So i went over to SLY and it was really cool. We did this valentines/friendship activity. WEll the guys seperated and we learned this song by Steve Curtis Chapman, 'i will be hurr.' We had to fill out these coupons also that we would grant them one favor whenever they needed it. So after learning wha we were gonna do, we all lined up outside and the girls all lined from inside. As we walked in, each girl was assigned to a guy. SO they the guys by the arm one by one and they all sang, 'Going to the chapel of love.' You that one oldie song whurr it goes, 'going to the chapel and whurr gonna get murried...'
Afterwards the girls stood in front of their guys and they recited these vows of friendship. It was really cool, it was like a 'friendship wedding.' They had recited pretty much were wedding vows edited and changed around to fit into 'friendship.' On top of that they gave us a these 'friendship rings.' Then they gave the guys a 'friendship ring' to put on the girls finger and repeating the same vows. So thas wha the girls did, the guys all lined up and started to sing, 'i will be here.' Then after the chorus we broke up to the assigned girl we were given. I had their elder auntie delia! haha All the girls each got a real like peachish/pinkish rose also. I thought that was real cool. Pretty creative too!
Then after it ws all over, cy, mikee, and i went over to dianas in carson. ITs this mexican restaraunt/fast food joint. We met up w/some other people thurr. Great times! I love hanging out w/cyril and mikee, theyre so funny. We all get along real well and juss shurr many different things in common. It cool that each time i come over thurr, i feel welcomed as if im part of their community. I think thats true hosptiality right thurr. That by the end of the prayer/youf group meeting that the person feels that they were made at home. Then in the parking lot, the three of us had this long convo bout vocations and stuff like that. Annnnnd sccccennnnnne!
Today, SRE then imma go watch barbershop 2 w/the burr. yay! We had watched barbershop 1 together like way back when it came out. So were gonna watch part 2 together. Maybe he can give me a hurr cut tomorrow morning or something too. THen friday im goign to jennif's birfday at the block and then on sat. burr and i are gonna eat philly cheese steak in fountain valley. ITs our annual philly cheese steak luncheon together! yay!! Followed by a dinner potluck at boss lady and burrs house later on. So thats gonna be fun, a lot of eating, dinning, and juss straight Christ-centred community chillin!
