"I do not promise to make you happy in this world, but in the next..."-Promise by Our Lady to St. Bernadette

Tomorrow marks the feast day of Our Lady of Lourdes, also World Day of the sick, and last but not least, Total Consecration to Jesus. PJPII desginated tomorrow as World day of the sick whurr he said in 1992, "This is a time for "prayer and sharing, of offering one's suffering for the good of the Church and of reminding us to see in our sick brother and sister the face of Christ who, by suffering, dying and rising, achieved the salvation of humankind."

Let me give you a little background history on Our Lady of Lourdes. On February 11, 1858, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to St. Bernadette Soubirous beginning a series of apparitions that have served to rejuvenate the faith of many and bring about the conversion and healing of thousands. In her apparitions to Bernadette, Mary appeared as a humble girl with a rosary over her arm and roses at her feet. She spoke with Bernadette as an equal and treated Bernadette with dignity.

In one of the apparitions to St. Bernadette, Mary revealed that "I am the Immaculate Conception." This came only a few years after the dogma of the Immaculate Conception had been proclaimed by Pope Pius IX in the Constitution Ineffabilis Deus and served to bring more awareness to the dogma throughout the world.

Soon after Bernadette began receiving the visions of Mary, word of them spread throughout the surrounding area and eventually to the whole world. After interviews with Bernadette, the proving of many miracles at the site of the apparition and interviews with various other witnesses, the Church confirmed the authenticity of the visions. Many miracles have been confirmed at the shrine that was built to Mary on the spot where she appeared to Bernadette. The feast of Our Lady of Lourdes was declared to be a world wide feast day in 1907.

So im pretty apalled at this new article i read about our stupid govenor. He wants to raise tuition on community colleges from $18 to $26 a unit! whoa can you believe that! It was already raises last yurr and to raise it again, is juss beyond belief! I tell you those dang republicans are at again, ready to take your $$! Anyway, another thing that's pretty stupid, is that they took down that website who2take.com. A website with all the details on all colleges throughout the US. From JCs to universities. It was a great resource to use prior to registering for classes. Found which classes and which instructors were for the student's best interest. I guess others felt it was juss a venting session for many students. I think it was a great way to voice their opinions. Anyway, boo on whoever took down the website!

Im pretty excitied for this weekend to come, only cuz its a 4 day weekend for me! yay! Im going to be donating blood to the American Red Cross today. I feel thurr coud be someone out thurr who may be dying who may juss need my blood. Ha forreal though, it may juss come in handy one day. Yesterday, was nothing to exciting, skool work the usual. Council Chambers was packed last nite for council meeting. They were meeting to decide on the new name of the new community centers. Can you belive were gonna have 2-3 more community centers coming up in our city. One that is opening this late spring! Stanton is making progress and our programs are ever increasing. The city of Stanton rocks yo!

Youf alpha was once again great, though im bout ready to go back into the classrooms. I wish i coudl take back some of the kids from youf alpha into my class. YOu know wha id love to do, is take some of the kids to the SOL youf rally. Im sure theyd have a d0pe time, juss seeing so many other kids their ages and older praising and worshiping GOd. The SOL youf rally fliers are freakin d0pe. They have that glossy club flyer look, so it really catches your attention. Im excited for the youf rally, spirit rally, and not to mention...SPIRIT GAMES! Im telling you, we got a great yurr ahead of us, filled w/so many different events to help people grow. Another thing im looking forward to, is the leadership formation retreat. Yay! Were gonna be staying @ the bravo's house in mo valley. It shoudl be fun a weekend of renewal and growing. Its should be interesting! haha Can we say real world mo val?! haha

The other nite charisse and i had a serious convo. juss about whurr the progress of spirit games is moving. I brought up to her that at the next following meetings, we need to emphasize the purpose of the games. Also the basic point of these games will be in 'lieu' or replaced by the annual bball tournmanets. At the very first meeting and at last meeting, WE as a committee discussed and agreed these games will replace the annual bball tournaments. Granted, im not saying a community cant play ball or anything like that. However, if a community decides to call up other communities, to play ball and decide to call it a 'tourny,' then well we have a problem. Its fine if a community wants to juss fellowship, chill, and play ball w/other communities. Not a problem. THough if a community were to decide to put up a bball tournament, then i would ask other communities, to boycott the tournament juss as the US boycotted the russian summer olympics of 1980. Point being, bball tournaments are long gone, and now have been replaced by the Spirit Games! yay!

I still need to watch the barbershop part 2 and i want to watch that one movie w/meg ryan and mekhi phiefer. It looks pretty good, and i also need to watch you got served one more time. Then dun dun in 2 weeks, the Passion comes out! yay! Im so excited, since i get out of skool early by like 11am, im gonna straight to the Bp mall and go watch it. It was so funny, i wore my grey hooded ecko sweater, and apparently i havent worn in it a while. I had found a ticket from Harry Potter's first movie back in nov. 16 of 02. Oh man thas so ol! haha Its funny the things you find your pockets and wha not.

Id like to expand on yesterday's quote, i found it in the Neptune's CD cover. It was part of Pharrell's thanks yous. I thought it was tight cuz wha he said made a lot sense. Dreams come true, first by prayers. God is always ready to hurr and answer our prayers. He only wants the best of us and if He feels whatever you ask from Him will produce good fruits, then thurr you have it. Next by determination, if you want something you gotta be determined to get it. Youre going ot come through many closed doors and trials, but you cant give up. Be determined to be whurr you want to be. Then of course, you cant get anywhurr w/o some type of proper education. Finally as you achieved all those steps, then the action comes into place. So i guess its juss something to keep in mind.
