"Saints are sinners that never give up..."

Maan, it's been ages since i last made an entry. So its 1010pm and my goal is to be an bed in an hour. So imma going to try my best to recap the whole annointed weekend at up in moval. PRaise God that im back home, it feels so nice to be 'home' again. It was a great weekend to come back, to the Heart of Worship.

Thursday: Went to skool, and then i had ran errands since it was pay day! Woo! I went to work in early for my coworkers bon voyage luncheon. It was lot of fun, im blessed ot have such great coworkers, especially a catholic boss. It helps whurr you can work in an open environment to openly shurr your faith w/others. They may not be the same faith as you, but praise God cuz you still bof believe in the same God, who is wonderful! I had made w/the kids this really good pasta! I was quite suprised with the turnout only cuz it was the first time i made it. I didnt use fettunchi sauce either. So i boiled the noodles and while the noodles boiled i created the sauce. The sauce was made up of cream of mushroom, garlic, and parmesan cheese. Wow the garlic added flavor to make it taste like regular sauce! yum! i also added carrots and broccli, imma have to cook it again sometime.

SRE was great, i had only one kid missing probably cuz i scolded her for not knowing her prayers the week before hand. Only to find out too, that she was absent for the past 3 weeks, oh well it still doest justify her not knowing her basic prayers. I had my kids go to fr. paul(hes one of my fav priests!)and he told me they did very well. Fr. ray had like 5 min. counesling sessions w/the 3rd graders with class of 25 kids he had! Oh man! thas why that class was thurr forever! AFterwards had gone out w/erin and heif to fridays at the cerritos towne center. I had bought that smirnoff sour apple, it was okay. It kinda taste like regular smirnoff to me, not much of a change. Imma try the other flavas next time. Good times, catchin up w/ol friends.

Friday: Woke up at 11am woo! Fridays are great days to sleep in! No skool or work! So i kinda sat around for a bit. Then went to get my mom's birfday present at the mall. Went to 1215pm mass and was able to get fr. paul to do the days w/the Lord retreat. Man my phone was ringing off the hook that day. It wasl ike one call after the other! Met up w/pb at the towne center for our 'annual rubios pb lenten lunch.' haha i call it that cuz it seems like thas the only time we go out to lunch is during lent! ha last april she met up at my work during my lunch and we had rubios again! haha WE were bof laughing cuz its juss funny how we meet up during lent. Went to ross to look for some stuff, didnt find anything. Went to the bp mall and i didnt find anything thurr either. Came home for a bit, i was tempted to take a nap but i wasnt too tired.

Ended up going to the cerritos mall wanting to buy pants. I was talking to grace for a while on the phone, and i decided not to. It wasnt a REAL had to neccesity. On my way out i ran into cyril and mikee, so i walked w/them around the mall. Im telling you errtime you to go to cerritos mall, youre bound to run into someone you know! I had boughten this nike bag at footlocker too, i got the hooks ups! This guy who use to be my neighbor who i also went to elementary-high skoool with, well his sister was working thurr. Anyway, she had hooked it up and gave me 50% discount! I got the bag for $5, when it was suppose to be $10! On top of that they had the free sample of gum that i took.

WEnt to the stations of the cross at sPv. Imma see maybe we can make it an SH activity each fri. nite. I was dissapointed cuz my kids werent thurr and i told them to come. Erryurr i go to the stations of the cross during lent w/my 2 aunts, my mom, and my grandma. This time i was really able to meditate and focus on each of the 14 stations. After watching the Passion, you can actually visualze each action taking place. It was really, wow, i started to get turry eyed as i was meditating on them. The stations are really good way to focus on His passion. Praise God that the sPv has it errfri during lent.

Came home, ate real quick, and packed for the evening. I was rushing ot get errthang ready and set to go. Pops came and met me up, said goodbyes to mother,moms, and the kids, then it was off to mo val. The drive wasnt that bad it wasnt much traffic. Good talks w/the pops bout the passion and bout the catholic faith on the way up thurr. We were talking bout how protestants well say, 'im christian.' When you ask wha faith they are, then they think catholics arent christians too. haha Thas funny, so by the time we exited the freeway we saw jeanne, so we followed hurr up thurr. When we got thurr, pretty much errone was thurr and errone was kinda juss chillin.

So finally the weekend began bout 10-1030 pm. We had the opening intros. and they told us the rules and regs for the weekend. They took away our watches and cell phones cuz they wanted us to be free from distraction this whole weekend. I thought at first, 'oh why?!' i need my watccch to keep track of time and eerrthang else. BUt wha they said made sense, we came to retreat from the world, and thas wha it pretty much felt like all weekend long. I guess its discipline and juss a good way to focus in prayer. Grouped up and did an icebreaker, action song and went into the first talk. Leah from LOC gave the talk on 'dettachment' really good talk bout coming out of out our shells. Meaing like our comfort zones, we get too comfortable within our areas that we cant seem dettach ourselves. Then she also touched on the basic dettachment from the world of materialisitc things.

After we were broke into what was called 'triaids' little groups to discuss our own personal trials and struggles. It was cool cuz it was like oner person from each community thurr. We had bout 5 different communities participating in the Leadership Formation Team. Darwin from SOL lead my group which included: Julie(YFC), Jasmine(LOC), & Christy(LF). It was really cool cuz it started the whole bonding experience for all of us. Then i think we all came back for praise & worship and shower sign ups and secret angels(prayer buddies). The theme song for the retreat was 'Heart of Worship.' The verse for theme of was from Rev 2:2-5.I wont go into the verse, ill let you look it up yourselves and youll see why it fits in w/errthang.

We also had a vigil nite, and we all had to take shifts to come in for bout 30min. and juss do whatever you want in thurr. I had the 530am shift w/my other pb jasmine. Real peaceful and calm, it wouldve made it better if they had adoration in thurr. Jeanne and i bof agreeded, we'd be in thurr all nite long! The house was nice and huge so thurr was sleep room for errone. Pops slept on one of the couches and as for me too. Though pops had to sleep on his stomach juss so we wouldnt reface v1. Haha Errone was pre-warned bout his sleeping style too that nite! Ha Praise God it wasnt as bad as v1 though, so i was able to get some sleep.

Saturday: We woke up @ like 6am and breakfast was made, spam, eggs and rice! haha what a filipino breakfast i tell you. Saturday was like a jam packed day, so much happened, a lot of fellowship, prayer, and more. I think sat. was a time whurr errone really bonded together. Had praise & worship, action songs and stuff like that. Nick gave a really good talk bout the Sin of omission, very convicting. Jay Paryano gave one on Spiritual Warfare, which was a good talk too, cuz its important that as leaders, it comes w/the territory. Serving God is never gonna be easy, but it will all pay off in the long run! Anyway, had lunch which was adobo and rice. Went to the purrk and we prayed the Chaplet of Divine Mercy was we wurr walking. I loved that part, then we took a group pic at the playground, which was tight!

Came back for some more talks, chris de vera gave a very detailed one how to present/give a talk. Followed by antony's talk later on on the 'Art of storytelling' an aspect to of presenting a talk. Oh man charisse started us all off on a game, 'charades!' I laugh out loud right now thinking bout how much it was fun. SHe was juss going off on all these dfferent movies! LF was on the role of knowing wah movies she was doing. IT was fun cuz errone got into the game and was participating. Darwin's 'The divine secrets of the ya-ya sisterhood' was funny! haha For some reason i was able to make out what movie he was doing after all the clues. haha AS tired i was, when we had the break i couldnt even sleep. We kept playing the game, except we changed the catagory: LFT members! ohhh man that was a trip!! Sooo funny the different impressions people were coming up with!

The nite was slowly coming to an end with mass followed by the exposition of the blessed sacrament! wow, soo powerful! It was soo tight cuz Father came by each person annointing them oil and pray over them. Then afterwards walking w/Jesus to each and err person, and so youre on your knees directly looking at Jesus. Oh my, praise God cuz it was soo impactful. Lot of healing and prayer takin place. OH yeah then we played 'who wants to be a saint?' i was so close in finishing the game, but then i got too excited and messed up. Myron is a trip, his laugh makes me laugh! He got a kick out of the whole charades game! haha We had this inside joke for the weekend too. WE made these mail bags on fri nite. SO throughout the whole weekend people were suppose to write you notes and juss drop them in the bag. I was writing small brief ones to errone, ha on freds and pops i added 'now with isda on the hotrack melt it likes it hot wax' on each of the notes! haha like how my emails have it!

After mass we had a group shurring time on issues or advice we could use for our communities. IT was a really good open forum. Praise God that our community may not get 100% parish support but we get the support we need. Then we had a really cool slideshow juss on simple reminders for life. Then ended the nite w/some more charades LFT version! We were soo loud throughout the whole weekend. Praise God we were able to make so much noise though and not have to worry bout being quiet or anything.

Sunday:WOke up early again had a really tight praise & worship session. Pops gave his talk on servanthood, which was really good. I loved how he started off the example of telling the background story of saul becoming St. Paul. When he was intro. i was so proud of him, i had to yell out, 'Thas my Pops!' haha We planned out the next short-term and long-term goals for this ministry. We broke down into our pillar groups, i was put into growth. Wow we had a bit of a hard time at first but we got it. Juss cuz growth is such a deep subject. I cant forget that i have to give a 5 min talk on my talk too next month when we meet. Then we got our bags which had our letters. The letters from our communities and LFt notes. I was really touched by jaymee's letter that she wrote to me. It really meant a lot and it brought turrs to my eyes. We left w/a slideshow showing pictures from the whole weekend. SOrry, i brought the cam but i didnt take any pics. For some reason i wasnt in the mood too! haha

Crazy thing i found out over the weekend is Chris De VEra is daily makeitclap suscriber. He knew the what picture ive had up on my blog, the # of hits on my counter, and even the new template! Whoa! i was in awe when he tol me all this! ha i guess i have suscribers that i dont even know about. Since im on the subject of chris, i got to know him better this weekend. He's got soo much compassion when he talks, that anyone who listens him is juss wow. When he talks, he tells you how its done and doesnt sugar coat or anything. Praise God!

Well thas the weekend in a nut shell for yall, im up to speed on my entries now. I juss to need to update my organizer, im bout 2 weeks behind. Praise God for a really nice weekend, but im glad im home. I agree w/Pops, its great to be back with our communities again! I love Servant's Heart and all the people who make up this community. If it wasnt for SH, geez id probably be on the streets some whurr, who knows! haha jk Forreal though thank you SH for juss being so great! And thanks to all of you who i serve God with that make serving God so fun!
