May The Force Be With You
Episode III
"Do not forget that true love sets no conditions; it does not calculate or complain, but simply loves..."
MY GRACE: One of my all time favorite praise & worship songs, 'eternally yours' cuz it describes the constant struggle we all go through in our walks. Yet, through it all, God is there in the midst giving us his grace. That whole message was confirmed last nite, and I was reminded of one of my fav verses from 2 cor. 12:8-10, 'Three times I begged the Lord about this, that it might leave me, but he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient or you, for power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and constraints, for the sake of Christ, for when I am weak, then I am strong.'
THE CROSS: Fr. Moses talked bout the beauty in suffering, which was real eye opening. Referring to the scripture readings for this upcoming sunday. The Father looking at the Son on the cross knowing the whole time that was his purpose. Therefore, in looking at the cross, you can't help to see the beauty in it. Hence, putting it all together, there is beauty in suffering. Id love to hear more of his talks, he has so much knowledge. Praise God!
MISSING: It's been hard getting use not having 4 dogs around the house. I think my other dogs can sense one of them missing too. They've been kinda mellow around the house lately. Everytime I pass by their bed, I look to see if she's there but shes not. :sigh: I guess at least I know shes not missing or being hurt. That's gotta be the worst knowing your pet is lost. Never the less though, I miss her.
EPISODE III: I went out and watched episode III last nite at krikorian w/jay da banker. I bought the tickets and I had him wait in line early. It was tight cuz his friends saved us seats, so we wouldnt be all up in the front. As predicted errone in the world was there watching it. It had to have been the longest hour waiting for something to start. Then I had to sit next to these people who really started to get on my nerves. So I was talking to one of his friends, and it was juss small talk getting to knwo each other etc. We were talking bout skool and stuff, I asked wha she was majoring in then she was like, 'oh i wanted to major in dance, but when I told my husband he laughed. ' Whoooa I nearly fell off my seat, when she said husband! She's like the same age as me then she told me she had 2 girls.
JEDI: While watching the movie last nite, I found things in the movie that parallels to the faith. For example, a jedi reacts on the fruits of the Holy Spirit, such as joy, charity, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, geneoristy, faithfulness, genetlness, self control. Yet the dark side are all works of the flesh, immorality, impurity, licentiousness, idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, rivalry, jealously, ouburts of fury, selfishness, envy. Kinda interesting eh? So often, I think we get tempted by the devil to go down the path of the dark side. It's so easy to act on emotion, on feelings without really thinking things through. I guess the lesson in all this is, well, I'm sure you can figure it out. As Yoda saidm 'once you start down the dark path forever it will dominate your desitny.'
