A Superstar
“Marian devotion, nourished by prayer, will keep families united and prayerful with Mary, like the disciples of Jesus before Pentecost...”
FIRST WEEK: So the first week of skool has started and already I'm ready for summer to begin. Well maybe you've already caught on to that attitude from my previous entry. It wasn't too bad it juss feels like I've got the lowest of the lows this year. Maybe its cuz I've see and was proud of how much progress the kids from last year made. On top of that it's a whole new setting, which is crazy with an new admin., a new office manager, and everything else inbetween. Oh yeah and the whole schedule is different too. It's going to take some use to obviously, but hopefully it'll be a good year. Change is always positive but it takes some time for errone to get use to. I juss pray that errthang goes smoothly and there's really no drama that comes up like last year. Can Summer come back to me already?!
TIRING: This weekend was definitely one weekend to remember, I mean if had to describe it in one word it would be outpouring. I may have mentioned this previously, so if Im repeating myself, sorry. Sometimes certain events come off as a blessing in disguise. And thats my testimony of this past weekend. The Spirit was truly present throughout the entire weekend. Lives were transformed and growth has begun to take place in so many different ways in so many different people. Physically, I'm drained talk bout a long weekend. It was an exciting weekend cuz it was filled w/so much love and the fruits of this weekend will start to show. Praise God for juss the grace and the strength to enable me to get through it. Praise God juss for that energy cuz I'm bout ready to crash and sleep for a week ha. No really, I thank God for the opportunity to serve Him in so many ways this weekend. Helped me get back on my feet after a semi difficult week.
LSS: I remember first being asked to help serve on the LSS team. I was excited being that I haven't gone through an LSS in forever. I think the last one was back in '04 or something like that. Then I found out what weekend it was, which coincided with YPR weekend. I was a little bit disappointed trying to figure out how I'm going to be able to juggle both events. God will make a way and He'll make it work out somehow. Sure enough He did, it juss took a little of trust on my part. The LSS was amazing, the speakers were so anointed and filled with this passion and zeal for their particular topics. Walking into the hall felt like old times, reflecting back on my very first LSS, which brought me to where I am today in my journey. This was the first time I became a group leader for adults, which was a little bit of a challenge, but they were great. I mean its nice to see how they can be so eager to share. There was this one man in my group who was talking bout how he's blessed cuz he's has 8 kids and 21 grandkids. When he sharing that I couldnt help to get a little bit teary eyed cuz for a moment I saw so much of my lolo in him. Praise & worship was moving, like I said it felt juss like old times. Who would've thought you'd get older adults to do action songs, I mean honestly 'Who builds the faith?' ha oh man and 'community?' haha that had to have been one of my highlights. During Kuya Alvin's testimony bout his first time coming into an LSS they were singing 'making melodies' ha I juss did that last month w/the Youf. The Baptism in the Spirit was great, God's love truly taking place healing and juss moving into the hearts of all the participants.
YPR: Because of certain situations that occurred during the pre-planning of this event, I ended up being a little bitter and frustrated. However, over time I came to the realizing that it became a blessing in disguise. Heck, I didnt have to worry or stress out over anything. Which helped benefited me in a long run cuz I was able to put more focus on the LSS. Saturday was a crazy transition not juss from switching from one parish to another but work from adults to youth. The fruits of errones hard work paid cuz it turned out really great. There were some kinks here and there that could've made it better but all in all it was cool. Bishop Alexander is freakin awesome, he's so chill and down to Earth. The Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament was amazing, he chose certain people to go up and do the incense part. I've never seen that before where lay people can help do that part. The energy that they had was inspiring, to see them grow and get all excited for God and their faith. My prayer is that they're able to take that same energy and bring back to their homes and skools.
"How great is our God, sing w/me how great is our God..."im done, im out God bless!
