"Let us live as the Blessed Virgin lived: loving God only, desiring God only, trying to please God only in all that we do..."

PRODUCTIVE:
Im real excited bout this year's youf prayer rally, most especially w/the skit committee. THe progress we've been making these past couple of meetings have been great. It kinda brings back memories of planning and putting together spirit games. Weve got a super team of youf from various backgrounds ready to collaborate to put together an awesome skit. Ive even been able to reach out to get youf who haven't really been coming to come back. I really do enjoy working w/these guys, they're a fun bunch of youf that all kinda compliment each other. WIth many of them, I've established a personal relationship that has allowed me to help them understand at the same time teach the faith. Stuff like that reassures me more and more that I made the right choice bout coming to the youf ministry.

APPRECIATED: Thursday I received a really nice suprise. Some of the teachers I work with all pitched in and bought me a gift card to starbucks. It was classified week at work last week so they did it to show their appreciation for me. Which is nice cuz I dont even directly work in their classroom. It one of those things that really made your day. I went home and showed my mom and she was happy. I know it may sound repeatitive but I am really am grateful for the people I work with. They're freakin amazing and thas why I didnt want to apply for the IA position at holy fam. You cant go anywhere else and find such great teachers who really care a lot bout their students. Its juss kinda funny how errthang works out, I was sharing w/cherry last week bout why I dont work for stanton anymore. Even though it was such a horrific experience that happened, I still praise God that it happened if it didnt I dont know if I'd ever leave stanton.

SEASON TWO:
Thursday started the second season of so you think you can dance. It was quite interesting to see the array of people who auditioned for the second season. Sometiems I wonder wha makes these people think they have the talent to win? The judges really look for people who have a diverse style of dancing, well at least some of them do. There was this guy/girl who called himself a 'gender chamaleon' who sometimes is a guy, and sometimes is a girl depending upon how he feels. Then there was this jewish guy who tried out haha whaaaaaack! My favorite was the gay guy who got all pissed off cuz nigel didnt think his style of dance was good enough. I wonder wha some of the finalists from last year were saying as they were watching it. There's taht guy michael kim, the popper from new york who made it to vegas, he's pretty d0pe, I hope he makes it far. Watching all the auditions are kinda boring, I juss like getting into the hot stuff where they have the finalists and start paring them up.

ACCOMPLISHING GOALS: I knew friday was going to be a crazy day. There was tons of stuff that was going on and tons of stuff that I wnated to do. The question was whether or not Id be able to get it all done. Work was crazy w/the getting the founder's day program going. Praise God errthang went alright and I wont have to hear the ants go marching one by one anymore. Nor do I have to hear balloon popping to high hopes. I have to admit though it was fun going to the cafeteria to take a break from the normal. After that I came home and then it was off to go to sunset beach, took marc w/me I wasnt sure when/wha time cherry was planning on going. By the time I got over there, cherry was already done cleaning up. What a waste of gas! Oh well, so it allowed me to go home chill a little bit. The Jordans I got on ebay finally came in, they looked a little tore up but oh well. WEnt to kennedy's choir show, it was alright, I enjoyed the other one better. I think my favorite one was the high school musical set in the beginning. I went to support allen, nico, and hara, I think it syas a lot when they see people supporting them. Heck I'd feel good if it was me and I saw people I knew coming out to support me. After that watched xmen 3 at krikorian, action packed Im glad I didnt fall asleep as tired as I was. I knew there was going to be something to watch at the end but freakin had to take marc home cuz he was already in trouble. Sometimes that kid doesnt think...I started to feel guilty on my way home but he needs to tkae responsibililty.

LONG DRIVES: Friday my parents left to oceanside for my uncles graduation, so I had the house to myself on friday. The plan was to meet up w/them over there on saturday. Debating back and forth whether I wanted to go still or not cuz I had planned on going to lailani's grad party. Finally decided to go out there and juss do it, like nike ha. I hate taking long trips bymyself cuz #1, its boring cuz there's no one to talk to in the car, and #2 I tend ot get sleepy. I made it safely, stopped by the mall on the way over to my uncle's house. Couldnt resist getting myself two more shirts at beachworks. The element shirt I bought is freakin tight, it reminds of the japanese sunrise. Chilled at the family party for a while, my baby cousin kai is freakin cute. Went over to lailanis party, had a hard time finding the house, I think I didnt print out the other page of directions. Fun times there, some of lf was there and SOL RH. Fell in love w/ami's singing wow! Left later then I had anticipated, was tempted to spend the nite, but wnated to make home in time for 11am mass at holy fam.

MORE PARTAYING: Sunday mass was great, Fr. Bill's homily was suprisingly short but the message was clear and strong. We must be an example to bring others closer to Christ, not in wha we say, but wha we do. I liked the analogy of Martin Luther King Jr. he was a doer not juss making speeches. Elizabeth's grad party was real fun, good thing abe came to dj otherise oh man it wouldn't of been as fun. Dancing and sweating like no other, meeting and making new friends, eating, and drinking, yup it sure was good times. I drank red bull for the first time that nite, as a result of that I couldnt sleep at all later on. Good times dancing w/marciella too! Im now inspired to check out 24 hr fitness' salsa dance class.

DINNER:
Had dinner at the moyas tonite, it was juss like old times. Great way to close my memorial day holiday ha. With as crazy as my schedule has been I havent really hung out too much w/them so it was fun. Conversations bout weddings, being godparents, jobs, and errthang else inbetween. Jacob is getting bigger and bigger each time I see him. The house looks nice with errthang being done now. Its funny how much something progresses when you dont see it for a while. Anyway, it was fun hanging out w/the moyas it felt like ol times, except w/o me spending the nite! haha

WOoO 4 day work week!

It's A Great Thing

"It's such a sweet thing to call God, Our Father..."

WASNT SO MANIC: Usually mondays can be pretty manic, cuz its the start of the week, but this monday wasn't so bad. In fact it was a pretty coool monday after all. Work was cool, no work at the rectory was nice, getting time to take a nap, why even better! Praise God for great beginnings, the days juss keep passing us by. June is coming real soon, all my saturdays for that month have already been booked. Sundays are looking to be that way as well! Crazzzy, we can juss skip to july so then itll be my birfday?! haha

NICE CHIT-CHAT: Before leaving work on friday, I had a nice convo w/the teacher I work with. In fact I was in there for like an hour talking bout juss work and other stuff. She really is a great person to work with, for this being her first year really teaching. My other coworkers are funny too, they come in w/their weekend stories of the things that happened, their drama, and errthang else. Granted they're all older than me, its juss those classic moments we have in the teachers lounge that you cant beat. The past few jobs I've had, I've been real blessed to be surrounded by easy going cool people. Not to mention having a supportive boss to help and guide you along the way.

CHANGING LIVES: I met up w/francis after work and had lunch w/him at mcdonalds. So I was sharing w/him the nice little note ione sent me and we juss started talking bout its such a warm feeling you get when someone thanks you for helping change their life. You feel all good inside knowing you were able to help someone out. Last nite of the youf was talking to me bout looking for big things in change. I told him he cant expect himself to have this huge transformation over. Errone grows at different rates, though your desire should be to grow in holiness. THen gave him the whole analogy of a plant growing and then ending it w/that it doesnt take big things to help you grow, you're growing already.

LULAEY: Last nite at the youf group meeting, I had intro. to them the lulaey song. Its funny seeing people trying to do that action for the first time. They make it look harder than it really is, but its funny. In fact even after the meeting was over some of them were still trying to get it down and learn it. I wanna do a whole action song medley for the youf rally this year, I think thatd be cool. Anyway, lulaley kinda reminds me of when you were younger and youd see girls doign those hand clap games. It would start off real slow, then pick up super fast to the fact you'd juss get lost. Yup lu la lu la lu la ley lu la lu la lu la lu la lu la ley

MY FAVORITE: Now I dont watch a whole lot of tv, but this is one show I started to watch last year that I couldnt stop watching. Yeah it has become of my favorites, well see though if this year is juss as good as last years. I have to hand it to my friend rob, for introducing me to this show! hah ill never that time he called me to tell him to check out this show and that cool guy ryan who could break that was local from downey. I had always wwanted to go to a showing, but well never did make it. However, I got something better, having one of the dancers come to my confirmation class. Greatest day of my life, well not really, ha but it was an exciting day for thas fo sho! Anyway, thanks to youtube.com we can reflect back on those wonderful memories from so you think you can dance season 1. Thanks Fox & Rob!

Productive Weekend

"A gentle maiden, having sheltered a GOd in her womb, asks as its price peace for the world, salvation for those who are lost, and life for the dead..."

INSPIRING MESSAGES:
The other day one of my student's sent me a really nice myspace message. In fact it was a reminder of why I love teaching confirmation, or juss teaching in general. I think its through those small little messages, that help us remind ourselves of God's love. That God's love is really all around us. Thursday was a crazy day and her little message was exactly wha helped make the day better. Praise God for those small reminders that help us remember God's love and why we do what we do. Errthang given back for His greater glory...+ADMG

STRANGER WEATHER: These weather patterns these past couple of days have been crazy, it gets all ugly and a little cold in the morning. Followed by warm heat in the afternoon and it gets all crazy warm! Then all of a sudden today its cold and its raining! Wha the heck, its raining in the middle of may! The part that sucks is that I juss got a car wash too, I didnt even expect the rain to come. By this time already we should be having warm sunny days cuz summer is almost here! I wish I could juss sleep in tomorrow and listen to the rain drops fall. Thas the best part of any rainy day. When I was younger in elementary skool whenever it rained, I juss wished I could juss stay home and cuddle up and spend the whole day watching tv. Whatever happened to those days?

TEACHER APPRECIATION: Last week was teacher's appreciation day, well it was a week late. Thursday we were suppose to have this nice luncheon, so I didnt bring my lunch preparing it to be something nice. Whatd we end up getting? Freakin albertsons friend chicken w/rolls and salad which had no dressing. Talk bout ghetto, then again look at where the skool I work is located. On top of that our chicken didnt even come in on time, so I ended up having to deliver them to all the primary teachers. One nice thing that came out of it, though was I got a free 5 min. massage. I always like receiving free massages! It was kinda cute then he principal worked w/these 6th graders and they did this little song called 'because I knew you.' Some of the teachers teared up during the performance, it was cute. I bought all the teachers I work with carnations on tueday to show them they're appreciated for all that they do.

THE BLOCK: Friday nite I hung out w/my friend keturah and we went to the block togehter. It was fun, we juss kinda walked around, chilled. Then ended up going to dave and busters to eat, and well I needed a drink so it all worked out. I ran into nicole and kyle over there also! I miss hearing their voices sing for prayer meetings. It was nice to see that they were still together, they look exactly the same though. Crazy to believe that I've known them since they were seniors in high skool. Wow time flies by! Anyway, its juss spending time w/friends who you havent seen in a while. My friend was telling me her brother's friend who he went to hs with, got killed in iraq. I think from gernade or something like that, pretty skurry. Oh yeah I got 2 shirts at pac sun since she had a 40% off discount all weekend long! wooO!

CALENDARS: The fiscal year is slowly coming to a close and Im almost done w/all the different organizations calendars. Now I see why it can be so difficult to do cuz there's so much booking. It seems like erryear, organizations are expanding their calendar requests. Juss too bad there isnt enough facilities to book errone. I spent most of friday and saturday trying to get htem done, and Im proud cuz I have about 3 more groups left and I'm finished! I think wednesday nites are probably the busiest nites at the parish. Thas like the meeting nite for almost errgroup. I love though how easy and convient outlook 03 is. On google they have their own calendar feature, so now you can plan your own calendar as well as add a group calendar. I love being organized ha

SPECTRUM: Saturday, after spending most of the day at work, I chilled w/abe. It was cool cuz him and I haven't really talked in a while. We made this deal, I ended up winning on ebay these 92 jordans, well in return he gave me some dunks he bought in hawaii. The shoes are pretty sweet, they're so comfortable and clean! Hanging out w/the kid was fun, caught up on life, youf min., and juss things in general. Then came back and ended up chillin at house until almost 1am. He intro. me to this song called, 'some will seek forgiveness, others escape.' Its a long title, but the songs by underoath. WOw its a very climatic song if you listen to it, perfect to use in a skit. In fact loc used it in their skit for youf rally, the lyrics are powerful.

SUNDAY: I felt like all I did was eat all day...forreal. WEll I went to mass @ 11am as usual, it was nice to sleep in a little bit. Fr. Tino celebrated mass and it was good to see him again. He had a great homily bout God's love and 3 types of givings...1)thanksgiving, 2) forgiving, 3)self-giving. Afterwards, I went to the swapmeet trying to see if they happen to have the two heart of Jesus and Mary picture frames. Im juss tempted to go to kinkos and get it done myself. Gosh I havent gone to a swapmeet in ages, I remember when I was younger going errsaturday w/my mom and aunties. Ran into one of my students there also, ha no better time then sunday to spend a swapmeet. Passed by abe's house for a little bit, his mom had invited me to come over for his cousin;'s grad. party. So I ate lunch there, a lot of good food, I was stuffed. Came home and then took a nap, which felt good. Followed by el torito in cerritos for francis' suprise birfday party. Which leads me to the next topic...

HAPPY BIRFDAY SHOUT OUT: Being there's a good chance I wont blog for the rest of this week, I mine as well get this done now. Happy birfday to mr. francis mallari, my core member who I advise. Each advisor has their own core member who they're paired up w/to advise. I remember first seeing this guy during how's first praise & worship performance he was dancing and all into it. One of the first members from the youf min. who I really kinda got to know. After my last min. talk on Mama Mary which I was asked to give, I was invited to bjs. Making a long story short, we ended up going to jack in the box. Hiim and jan-michael were the ones who I saw Jesus through after that long hard day. The more I got to know this guy, the more I saw how much we have in common. He's a good kid and I enjoy working w/him. Ever since I became his advisor, I've kinda taken him under my wing as my own. If you get to know this kid, youll see why I see the face of Christ through Him.

CANT STOP: I cant stop listening to this new version of the ave maria. Its on joyces myspace music page. On top of that I have it on cd from when her and noreen sang it. This version ahs to be my favorite marian song hands down. I find myself in such peace juss listening to it. Too bad I dont have a stero w/a sleep timer anymore, otherwise that song would be on repeat. Anyway go check it out for yourself, youll end up falling in love w/it as I have. Sidenote, please pray for youf min. as we prepare to choose the new core group for the next fiscal year.

The Most Difficult Year

"A gentle maiden, having sheltered a GOd in her womb, asks as its price peace fo the world, salvation for those who are lost, adn life for the dead..."

ALL OVER: Praise God the year is officially over for confirmation. We had our annual potluck party, which was pretty crazy, I mean literally it was a zoo. I must admit that I had the most difficult time controlling them. On top of that they pushed it w/me to the very end. However, its not all of the kids. One of the girls gave me a book of the life of St. Jospeh, along with a starbucks gift card, along with a card that helped make my day. ANother girl was like I have a card for you but there's nothing in it, so as I was reading the card, it made me smile. Im trying to get some of them involved w/the youf min @ holy family, juss so they can continue on w/the journey. One of my old students who comes on tues. to help out, brought an old student of mine who was w/me for the first 2 years. He looked so much different now, but he told me he goes, 'now i see wha you had to put up w/ man im soo sorry.' ha its amazing what a little bit of maturity can do.

Summer is almost hurr!

Over 200 Confirmed

"In dangers of sinning, when assailed by tempations, when doubtful as to how you should act, remember that Mary can help you, and if you call upon her, she will instantly help you..."

ANOTHER YEAR PASSED: I remember joking around w/jaymee and mo once bout how Ive been teaching confirmation for so long. At one point we made the analogy that I was like mc donalds in a way. Under the arch it says, 'over 80 billion sold,' well mine would be something to the effect of, 'over 200 confirmed.' haha anyway, another year has passed by. I wasnt sure exaclty how it was going to go being that I was getting a whole new set of kids. Confirmation was saturday and it was great, the bishop's homily was good, errthang was good except for the music. Erryear it seems like the music for confirmation ends up being whack. I was thinking during confirmation yesterday hwo cool the choir at holy fam was sounding right at that point. Oh well, nothing you can do. Tooks tons of pictures afterwards w/the kids, it was crowded like no other after mass was over. I was irritated at one of my kids for nto showing up till almost 10am, when I specifically told all of them to be there @ 9am! I was hoping that he wasn't going to show up, but he did darn. AFterwards I was invited by one of the families to go out to eat w/them at the olive garden. Over there I ended up running into a girl I went to jr. high-hs with. Man it seems like errones done w/skool now except me...I gotta get on that.

DANBROOK: The skool year is almost overr and wow its been one learning experience. I loved errminutes of it though. I was an unforgettable experience and now I can take the tools learned and apply them in other cases. The people I work with are freakin awesome, especially the teachers. There;s been times where Ive ended up staying past the time Im suppose to get off juss to sit and talk. The kids are great, even though tye can be a handful sometimes. Ive been on this writing kids up on referrals frenzy this past week. Ha I wrote 4 kids up in one day, yeaaah I loved it! However, there were a couple other opportunities but for some reason I felt compassionate and let them go. I feel bad doing it sometimes, though its their fault they make the wrong choices. Next year is going to be an interesting year though.

RECTORY:
Rectory days have been alright, theyre currently finishing up on the roof. Its been hot in the office w/no air conditioning. Im barely getting started on the calendars for the organizations. I've got 3 major ones done, 1 major one to go and the rest should run a little smoother I hope. Its cool how Ive gotten to know many of the different parish org. leaders in the short time I've been there. This new parish directory is coming out that I had put together and it looks pretty cool. It has all the info. on who each leader is for each organization. Looking at it makes me feel accomplished ha that was such a long project to do. Oh yeah were having a beach day next friday woo!

75th ANNIVERSARY: It seems 2006 is the year to celebrate many different anniversaries. Many local cities are celebrating their 50th anniversaries. Holy Fam has their 75th in June and its goign to be a jam packed month. ALl the festivities remind me of the huge summerfest at stanton. GOsh how I would dread working that day, juss thinking of the set up and long hours. The youf min. got out of doing balloons and face painting, so now will be doing the gold fish game. That sounds fun, a lot easier, now all we have to do is find the fish. The countdown begins until all the big june celebrations...graduations and birfdays. At least july will be a lot smoother, hopefully not as many things going on.

HFYA: The ministry is slowly growing, which is great. I knwo by next year it's going to be packed like the youf ministry. Trying to encourage and get other young adults go to go isnt the easiest thing. I felt a little bad last week cuz my coworker and I were talking, she was asking me questions bout the group asking me wha we do etc. I think she wsa expecting like some type of invitation, but I didnt. For some reason I juss thought she wouldn't exactly be into it being shes protestant. I shouldve reached out anyway...speaking of reaching out, I ran into walter that guy who I met at sPc ebfore and invited him to HFYA. He told me his schedule is going to be even more tighter being he got accepted into the long beach popo academy...dang hardcore. Anyway, back to HFYA, last wed. the meeting was nice standing room only. Banne brought some kappas who really enjoyed themselves and wanted to come back. Thas always a nice thing to hurr knowing the ministry was able to help them in some way. I think for many young adults there's a desire to serve in someplace but dont know where or how to get involved or juss to insecurr to take the initiative and go check it out.

MAI TAIS: Friday nite was mai tais nite to celebrate jay and mel's birfday. Took tons of pictures, cant wait till she posts them. I brought along chentel w/me, didnt feel like driving out there alone. I only had 1 amf that nite, being confirmation was the next nite, I didnt want to feel like crap the next morning. It wasnt as crowded as it normally is, though it was still packed. Nice to see ol faces who I dont see as much anymore or dont really see at all. Got home by 1am and oh man I was already exhausted. Whas funny being there is watching people walk down the steps all messed up and drunk or even seeing some people juss yack cuz they're juss drunk. Not the best feeling in the world thas fo sho.

SATURDAY: I wanted to go to mels birfday party in ontario but the thought of driving up there wasnt too appealing. After lunch at olive garden I was already feel the food coma. Ended up driving around getting gas and running some errands. Picked up francis and went to get his birfday/graduation gift. Ran into marc and his friend kiko at the mall as well as some cerritos kids. There's never a moment at the cerritos mall where you dont run into someone you know. Crazy thing is I had gone to joannes fabric earlier that day looking for stationary paper and I took a double glance at the guy at the chcek out and turns out to be this guy who I went to elementary skool with. Looked like he had his hands full w/his family. He saw me and gave me one of those 'you look familar' type of stares. I didnt go up and say anythign to him, maybe I shouldve. Anyway, picked up francis' confirmation gift at holy fam it was crazy over there cuz of the Fatima celebration. As I was walking ot the gate I saw the statue and I thought how pretty she looked. Dropped francis off and ended up chillin at marc's for a while.

SUNDAY: MOther's day was simple and easy. Went to mass at sPv w/the fam, the only time I really go to mass there now is on special occassions. The choir sucks there too well at least for 915am mass. Then it was sad cuz they didnt have the pre skool kids go up to the front of the altar like before. Fr. Anotonio said mass, which is funny when he celebrates mass in english. THough I like how when he gives his homilies he walks out in the congregation. AFter mass I juss had to go to holy fam cuz it jsus ddint feel right. I love going to mass there, its freaking the best, the choir sang my fav song, fr. johnny got the congregation involved w/their own testimonies of their mom. Had a few convos after mass w/some cool people and then I was off. Lunch at grandmas nothing spectacular its juss sad that a whole lot of grandkids were there. Ended up taking this long nap while watching dinotopia w/my little cousin.

HOOKED UP: So Iwas able to hook up one of my kids from last year up w/a prom date. He's liked leslie's sister for a while now, so I was able to convince him to ask her to go to his prom. At the same time convinced her to go w/him. It all worked out and he was extremely happy, it kinda brought back memories to how I was feeling my jr. prom. I stopped by the cerritos towne center to take a picture of them before they left. Ha Then sat w/them to start up a convo before leaving the two of them to do their own thing. I felt like a total parent watching their kid go to prom. hah

YEAR AGO: I was reflecting back on how a year ago I was going through a lot. There were many closed doors, feelings of rejection and anger going through my head. THen nervous as I was preparing for 2nd major surgery. Through it all though, he allowed one door to close so that new doors and windows of opportunities would happen. In fact I think its been a year now since I started this new blog format. ha Anyway, it really is His grace that is sufficient for us to get us through those dark moments.

Pray for my talk today!

A Month Long of Celebrations

"The Holy Rosary; The joys, the sorrows, the glories of the life of our Lady weave a crown of prases, repeated ceaselessly by the angels and the saints in heaven and by those who love our Mother here on earth. Practice this holy devotion every day, and spread it..."

GOING BROKE: By the end of this month my butt is going to be broke with all the different birfday/confirmation/graduation celebrations going on. I was looking at the calendar and saw all the different events going on. Birfday after birfday going on, celebration after celebration happening, to think too that june is goign to be the same way also. Oh why?! ha Praise God for 2 jobs to help pay for all the different gifts I ahve to start buying. I should start making a list of the different things I need to purchase so it's easier.

BIRFDAY SHOUT OUTS: I have a feeling that I wont be blogging the rest of the week, so I mine as well take care of the weeks long of birfday shout outs right now. Today is my peeb's birfday...yay! We've been peebs for quite a while now, and I must say she's one great intercessor for me. On top of that she's an all around wonderful friend. Our annual once a year lenten fish fridays are the best. She cracks me up w/her jokes and well you can't find a better peebs than that. Next on the list, mel mel, I've only known her geez less than a year, but we've become really close friends. She's has helped out by juss listening, always lending me hand, etc. One of those genuine people that you can rely on to always make you smile. We have the craziest moments together, but thas the d0pe thing about her. THen the last but not least, mr. pablo, who I've become closer to this past year as we've helped out w/the youf ministry. Another great friend, who we've shared some really insightful convos this past year bout people, relationships, life, faith as well as some d0pe get togethers ha! Then there's caroline, my confirmation teaching buddy, who has been such a great friend these past couple years with her warm hospitality and friendship/ Happy birfday to the quad may the Lord continue to bless them, strengthen their faith, and continue to guide them.

YOUF RALLY: Went to SOL youf rally on sat. I was reflecting back on last year on how different the atmosphere was for me. This year was different too, its too bad we didnt get to bring our whole community. I thhink they would've enjoyed it, its crazy last year I thought that was going to be my last year going but I guess not. Anyway, it was good as always, ran into old faces that I haven't seen in a while. Fr. Ed was the main speaker for that day, he had a good talk on vocations. It seemed like that was more less the theme of the rally rather then the Totus Tuus. Then again, it all kinda fits togehter in a sense anyway. We left before mass to get all set up and ready for the confirmation dance. I was already tired by the time we got back...man I am getting old! ha

MAYFAIR KIDS: Ive been seeing the mayfair kids a lot lately. Oh my gosh I saw htem almost errday this week, well kinda. THough they're real cool kids, I've enjoyed getting to know them. I gotta give up to brandon though, this guy is a a real trooper. He's helped me out a lot this week w/stuff at the rectory. He came in on sat. by himself to help stuff all the bulletins w/the parish life form. Tues. he came in along w/some of the other kids. Then sunday, ha I called him and woke him up to go to mass. I left him a vmail and said, 'brandon this is GOd, it's time for you to go to mass and see me.' haha

OLD ENTRIES: LAst week I was reading through my old journal entries and wow talk bout changes. Not to sound dramatic of anything but my life has really changed. Well some ways things are still the same, but juss funny how when you're younger you have this big picture of wha you plan to do w/your life. At one point I remember I wanted to go into the journalism field, become rich have a mansion be making bank! Ha so much for that idea...its cool though God takes our lives and brings us to a totally completely different direction. Its juss amazing on that journey how you look at your challenges you had in your life, those real difficult moments and see how God allowed you get through it all. A year ago during this time of the month so much stuff was going on. Though it was in those moments that God gave me the strength to keep on moving.

CONFIRMATION DANCE: WE had the annual confirmation dance at holy fam last nite. It was real small turn out but it was still fun. The kids who were there seemed to enjoy themselves at least. Fr. Vic came by later on and was dancing w/us for a while. There were these other guys who wanted to grind up on mel and elizabeth that was pretty funny. The pictures, the battles, the food, the music, by the end of the nite I was juss exhausted. They should do something like that at sPv for the confirmation kids, juss somethign to get them going. Spy should do more stuff to get the youf involved in the parish more. Especially when ti comes to the confirmation kids it juss sucks that there's nothing for them to do after confirmation is over. Last year I was dissapointed that after all the progress I had made w/my kids there was nothing to kepe them involved. Oh well, maybe thas why God allowed the move to holy fam happen.

The months is halfway over!

Walk Walk Walk

"It is not the suffering but the cause that makes the martyrs..."

FUN MONDAY: With this new discipline policy they've enforced a couple months ago at work, the kids who behave get to participate in this 'fun friday.' They bought a whole bunch of outdoor equipment as a reward for those who have shown good behavior. We were suppose to have it on friday, but due to the weather it was postponed until today. I love these fun fridays cuz its juss chill watching the kids play and stuff. There's the one kid who I've become fond of, well he was telling me that none of the stuff was fun and it was boring. I asked him lets go try the turtle scooters, so we go, next thing I know he's having a blast over there. Ha I also was able to get some good shots of my kids and my d0pe coworkers haha

SPIRIT GAMES:
Attempted to have a spirit games meeting tonite but I was real dissapointed with the poor turn out. My thing is w/this whole thing I dont want to die down. We've only had for 2 years and the fruits it has produced has been a blessing. It has allowed other communities to come together and really get to know each other. Besides the youf rally when do all the groups really come together in fellowship and prayer? Of course its hard to plan something so major but with any event no matter wha you're going to do, it's always going to take hard work. Im praying for something to spark up again this year, really I am.

GOD PROVIDES: AFter the youf min. meeting I went w/the guys to guppy's for an evening snack. One of the kids volunteered to pay for errone's shaved ice, so I went ha. Well the server who was real coo w/us told us we couldnt get juss shaved ice. We had to get at least minium $4 meal as well. So some of us got popcorn chicken, fried rice etc. which was cool. After we ate the big bowl of the shaved ice, we were waiting for our check. The server comes out and was like 'umm did someone come in and pay for the bill?' We were like uhh no why she then goes to explain taht the check has been taken care of. Totally suprised all of us cuz we were wondering who the heck wouldve taken care of the check. Thas still a mystery but in any case praise God! haha

2 weeks of craziness...so it begins.

Summer is almost here!

"We need to pay attention to what's really important and put the rest aside..."

CONFIRMATION: I remember reading on banne's blog before, bout the top 10 life lessons. One of those lessons have always stuck to me and I've always shared the same lesson w/others. In fact its that same lesson that stuck out to allen as well. You are Jesus to someone. You may be the only Gospel they'll ever read, the only encounter with God they'll ever have. Let them meet Him in you...through your touch, your listening ear, the kind acceptance in your eyes, the gentle words of encouragement that flow from the goodness and mercy of Christ. Fr. Bill's homily today talked exactly bout that. The first gospel's we ever read were not from the bible, no, they were a person, someone in the flesh. At the same time we will be the first gospel many of us will ever read. Our challenge as catholics is to live dual but not double lives. Which is hard especially in the society we live in today. Errtime we have to make a decision or an action think bout it...you may the gospel that person may read. Our challenge is to bring Jesus everywhere thas why after the mass it says, 'go in love to serve the Lord and one another.' Dear Lord help me to live you in me today.

ADVISOR MEETING: Had an advisor meeting which was wow forever long today. Those things never end on time, but its cool. I cant believe how much stuff is going, it's good to see such a growing and productive ministry. With the rally coming up, 75th anniversary, transition of different cores hijole! Im interested to see who the next core is going to be, it's hard to believe that the one year term w/these kids is going to be up. Its almost like saved by the bell the new class, hah different term, new season, different personalities. ALthough the second time around, we have the experience under our belt and know what to expect. I still believe though in a sense sPv kids are different then holy fam. Its hard to explain but its juss well different.

PRETTY CRAZY: All I ahve to say is this lady is crazy and whacked up in the head. Praise God for being catholic...really. Too bad confirmation is basically over cuz this would be a really good lesson to discuss. I think many people are under the impression that like many different religons homosexuality is condemened, as in you're going to hell. However with catholics its almost like the expression 'hate the sin, not the sinner.' The catholic church dissapproves of the action though doesn't condemn any of them to go to hell. Anyway, juss check out the video yourself.

GONE ALL DAY: Sunday was a crazy day with mass @ 11am. Followed by lunch at mc donalds with the protacio sisters. Then going to tall mouse and looking at ribbon for jackie's debut. Advisor meeting from 2-5pm, then picking up heif attempting to visit denise but didnt know where michelle lived. ha So much for that idea, ended up juss going to the loft and wow there was this cute girl taht worked there. Might be a place where I need to hit up more often now ha! Didnt get home till 8pm, wow what a long day. Family guy was hilarious tonite...I love that show.
