LAGGING: So I've been lagging on the entries. These past couple of weeks have been crazy and now w/summer here things will sstart to slow down temporarily until next week. So some updates for errone...first off, I've been officially layed off from the centralia school district. Im sad cuz Ive put in so much into working at the skool and for the most part I really enjoyed it. I juss really hate this whole budget cut thing...I guess my situtation isnt as bad to those who've been working in the district for over 20 years. Hopefully things will turn better in the end as it always does. At least I still have some kind of income coming in and I'm not totally unemlpoyed. The hard part is trying ot find another job that'll pay me at least close to what I was making there and with the same amount of hours.

WYD: My trip is slowly creeping up and Im not even close ot bring prepared. People keep asking me if Im ready but Im not! I dont even have a sleeping bag really ready, I dont know what to really pack or what bag to take. AHh I dont think Im even going to be able to really sleep the nite before. A whole year ago was when we made our first official deposit and for official meeting w/errone. Talk bout how so much has changed since then, people dropping out, people adding on...ahh Apart of me is excited for this blessed opportunity but the other part of me is a little nervous. I hate being away from home for such a long amount of time though its gonna be great. The part I think im dreading is the stupid layover and the long flight over there...agh! I dont know how the heck imma sit still in a plane for over 10 hours! oh why?!

HAPPY BIRFDAY: I know I'm a little late but happy birfday em! If you dont know her, you're missing out. She's one of the funnest people I know. She's got a heart of gold and is truly an inspirtation to others. On top of that she's caring and looks out for the people she loves. I know this is really love over due but happy birfday boss lady!!

Crashing By...

VENTING SESSION: Okay, so I'm going to do a little venting and some of the things I say may sound juss a little harsh. My recommendation would be to skip this section if you dont want to read my venting session. For the past year Ive taken over the wedding preparations at work. Meaning I schedule the couples appointments, I make sure they have all their file complete before getting married, answer any questions they might, and whatever else fits into preparing for the sacrament. At first I thought it would be really good, getting to know couples and help them prepare for one of the happiest days of their lives. Yeaaah not so much...well dont get me wrong I enjoy what I do for most part but every once in a while you come across either some really dumb ones or really crazy ones!! On MOnday I received an email from a couple who's wedding is next month. They're doing all their prep at another parish but only using Holy Family for the church. Usually a month prior to the wedding I schedule the reh. and send out a confirmation letter of the scheduled date and time. So I made a minor mistake on this couple's wedding reh. letter and put the '1st' instead of the '11th.' Minor error, simple typo that well caused soo much drama. They sent me along w/my supervisors and of course the Pastor a nasty email cuz of the stupid typo. If I could I'd post the email on here. I was upset at the fact that #1 they dont even go to Holy Family. Its kinda like that one part in Mean Girls where theyre doing that activity towards the end of hte movie and one kid yells out ,'She doesn;t even go here!' hahahah I love that part. Anyway, I felt like saying that to them and then on of that were suppose to be a christian community yet its okay not be understandable or make the effort to want clarification or understanding. Aghhh! Then they're not even going to use the church after all they decided to go back to their home parish. After all that drama theyre not even going to use the church, was really worth it geez!!

LOOSING JOB: So due to the budget cuts it looks like Im going to loose my job working at the school. Next Thursday will be my last day working there and well I dont know what's going to happen. I thought that there might be a good chance that might job might be saved but I guess not. What upsets me about the stupid district is that hardly any of the cuts are coming from the district level and on top of that for such a small district of 9 elementary skools we have 2 assistant super indents. Oh and then they're keeping all the bilingual instructional aides at their normal 5 hours each. Wha the eff man?! Id could see keeping a 2 or 3 but all 9?! Oh yeah not am I being cut but also all our librarians. On top of that our health clerks hours will be reduced from 8 to 3.5 hours a day. Great way to run a skool w/no libraries oh yeah and no counselors either...waht a rip off!! Im happy that at least I still have a job at the church and will be able to collect unemployment starting the last day of skool year. I guess I juss gotta trust that God has something else in store for me and things will turn out. Its juss for the most part I enjoy what I do and that I love the people I work with.

BUSY WEEK: This week has been incredibly busy and as busy as it has been I'm surprised the week hasn't juss flown by already. THere's been something going on everyday this week so far. In fact yesterday I was so incredibly tired I dont even know how I made it through the day.

3G and N*E*R*D.: Monday they released the new iPhone 3g, its suppose to be the new fast network that errone has been anticipating. In fact there was rumors apple was going to release that monday, but that was wrong. Looking and it seeing the new apps they're going to have for it had me really excited. I have to admit its look like I want to buy a new one. Around this time last year I was getting really excited for the 1st generation juss to come out. I have to admit it has made calling a lot easier and better for me. The new phone is being released july 11 the same day I leave for Australia so it looks like Ill be picking up a new phone before I leave to see the Pope. My friend told me that the virgin megastore in hollywood was having a n*e*r*d. release party on tuesday evening @ 12am. The first 500 people who buy the CD there will have the opportunity to come back later that nite to get their CD signed by N*E*R*D. themselves. I jumped on that opportunity and got to meet them last nite. It was coo I got to shake Pharrell's hand! Its crazy seeing them in person though like upclose in person whoa!! haha The line was soooooooo long that it wrapped around the store but it went by fast. So that was my Monday and Tuesday.

DISNEYLAND: Disneyland is so incredibly expensive to get in now its like $100 for a day juss to get into one park! Well I went today but got in for freee! This guy from the church works there and so my friend and some of the people who work at OLF went together. Kinda awkard at first cuz I really dont know the people that well but it ended up being so much fun. For the short amount of time we were there we did a lot or at least it seemed like it. We went on that river ride at California adventure and got wet luckily I didnt drenched I was really hoping I wouldnt cuz I hate walking around feeling all gross and soggy. Anyway, I want to go back again sometime soon so I can ride the new nemo ride, the new toy story opening up, and the renovated pirates. I was thinking of buying a pass cuz it seems like errone has one but I dont know if Id use it a lot.

BIRFDAY GREETINGS: Alright so before I leave I juss have to quickly greet a couple of birfday celebrants. ACtually both people are celebrating their birfdays tomorrow. Fred has been a close friend of mine for a quite a while now. I know I can rely on this guy to help me out whether it be faith related or even juss someone I can vent to about anything. Its a coo person thas normally down for anything and is someone who can juss be there to 'listen.' I respect him a lot and Im glad that I've met this guy. He's gone through a lot in the brief time I've known him and he's always managed to pull through it and come back out strong. Anyway friend thanks for being there I owe you drink hopefully if I'm not too tired Ill be at happy hour to celebrate for a little bit...happy birfday! Noreen is such an awesome person. She's inspiring, motivational, talented, and such a supportive friend. God has truly blessed her w/a wonderful husband and now a little daughter. A sweet personality and always has a smile on her face. You cant go wrong getting to know her. I've been blessed to have gotten to become friends w/her. Thanks for all you do and may God continue to shower you w/only more blessings and happiness that you deserve!

Gotta Touch the Sky

TAGGED: Apparently I've been tagged by a couple of people to share 6 random facts about myself. This was something that was floating around in the vlog world not too long ago. Anyway, soo 6 random facts here goes nothing...

FORTY-THREE: For some reason I cant seem to get enough of shoes, which is the reason for why I have 43 pairs of shoes in my closet. Yeah, I know who actually wears all 43 pairs? Well I do, I have to have a pair for errstyle and color I have in my closet. For example, I have this bright yellow world youth day shirt so I saw these shoes at urban back in January and I had to buy them cuz they matched my shirt. CAll it weird, but I call it coool! ha I was once told you can tell wha kind of person a person is by what kind of shoes they wear. So if you someone wearing maybe a new balances then they must be some a runner or if you someone wearing jordans they may play a lot of bball ha sounds kinda stupid I dont know but its my fetish I have.

TWO A DAY: I have to take two showers a day no matter where I'm at. Even on retreats if I have to I'll wake up 30 min. early juss to make sure I get into the shower first thing in the morning. Some people prefer showering before htey go to bed others when they first wake up, I dont know for me I need to do both. Oh and no matter what time of the evening is even if I get home really late I still need to take a shower before I sleep. Its like you do all this running around all day you're bound to smell and all dirty why go to bed stinky? Shower and then you can feel clean and good before going to bed. THen wake up starting your day smelling fresh!

FISH: A lot of times I get introduced by people by my last name. For example most of the kids in the youf min call me by my last name, 'fish.' The funny thing is sometimes people get so caught up in calling me by my nickname that they dont even realize that a) fish really is my last name and 2) they dont even know what my first name is! Before it use to bother me when people would call me by my last name cuz I felt like it was a nickname for those who really knew me. Now it doesnt really bother me as much, however when someone introduces me by my last name I make sure to tell them what my first name is. For example I remember earlier this year when lawrence brought leslie around to the rectory. The first time I met her he introduced me as 'fish,' but I had to correct him and say my first name cuz well really I dont like me introduced like that. I juss find it funny how people will know me for a little while and then they come to find out that 'fish' really is my last name.

VIBE MAGAZINE: My family makes fun of me cuz Im into 'urban' movies and things. Rob never wants to watch a movie w/me cuz most of the time I want to see those 'you got served' type of movies. When I was a sophmore in high skool I remember buying November issue of Vibe at the market for silent reading material. Well ever since 1998 Ive collected almost errsingle issue of vibe magazine(I think I'm missing two issues). Yes, Im a loyal vibe magazine subscriber. I like to keep up w/whas happening in the music world or juss to see what the latest trends or fads are. If you came into my room and saw my collection I think you'd end up laughing. I remember when their magazine were real big and tall then they cut it down to make it like regular magazine size. Anyway, I like it, its good reading material for me.

PLAY SKOOL: When I was younger I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I dont even know who or what inspired me to do it. So rather then playing sports or doing any real 'active' extra curricular activity I'd play skool. My young cousins hated me for it! Especially my cousin dante. His mom woudl always be working and instead of getting dropped off at my house he'd always want to go to my grandma's house instead. Part of that reason was he knew I'd try and force him to play skool w/me. Id have all the teaching materials gradebooks, planbooks, etc. I remember Id make my dad take me to the teacher supply store on beach juss so I could pick up something. It was a hobby I had that I enjoyed doing ha.

HEIF: One of my best friends, Jen dont really call each other by our first names. We call each other 'heif' short for 'heifer.' Well my cousin I dont know randomly learned the word 'heifer.' It became part of my vocabulary and I started to call Jen that and since then its juss kinda stuck. Even when we leave each vmails or text each other we never use each others name its always 'heif.' The funny thing is we dont use it in the context of implying one of us a baby calf or anything of that sort its juss I guess a weird nickname we've given to each other. Sounds kinda weird and stupid but thas juss makes our friendship unique!

POLITICS: So it looks like barack has claimed the democratic ticket for november. Im happy however I do have to admit I did vote for Hillary. I juss felt that she had a lot of experience and she knew was she was doing. Overall, both barack and hillary are cool, its juss I favored hillary more than barack kinda surprising huh? Im in alliance w/errone else though an Obama-Clinton ticket would be the best decision for the party. I mean w/the two of them together they'd be unstoppable against any republican. Personally, I think JOhn Mc Cain is too old, but this is the what second or third go around for him and he finally got the nomination. Anyway, I really hope he makes a decision soon. Part of me thinks that the 'dream ticket' wont happen. Well, we're juss going to have to wait and see.

Do, Do You...

FLIES: If there's one type of bug that I hate the most besides mosquitoes its flies! I hate how they buzz around and fly around-they can be so hard to catch. Well, this may sound a little gross but I've figured out a way to kill them at least when fly into my room. When they fly into my room they sometimes fly into my blinds. This is the perfect trap cuz they often get stuck and have a hard time getting out. So when they fly into my blinds I find where they are and smash them! Then I get a toilet paper, pick it up, and then trow it in the trash. Sounds a little gross, but I hate those things and I get a sense of satisfaction knowing I beat them ha

GOT 'EM: After a week of struggling to the get pictures from leslie's LAX bash I finally got them no thanks to...well nevermind. Now I can post up some pictures from that nite. I was thinking that place sounds all high class and big inside but it's really not at all. The only thing coo was the music was poppin! Now I have some new pictures to post up on my myspace ha. Turns out Leslie sent me the pictures before but apparently I never received them so the nice person she is re-sent them to me yesterday. Oh and I also got some of the pics from carlo and antoinette's wedding too.

TRADITION CONTINUES: As done in the past I gotta wish the burr a very happy birfday. Man freakin' 29! I cant believe that next year will the big 3-0 for you! Maybe then I can throw you a surprise party for you yay! So I remember when I first saw this guy I think it was back in '01. I was teaching SRE and I had I think wha was 3rd graders preparing to make their first communion. Him and Em passed by to teach some action songs and cheers to my kids. It would've been crazy if I still had taken pictures but I didnt. Anyway, I saw this guy and I was like, 'he's kinda weird...' haha Maybe cuz I didnt expect him to be all into the cheers and stuff. Then maybe it was week or two later during the youf alpha season 1 holy spirit saturday retreat I had given him thank you cards that my kids had made for him and em.(I'm sure he doesnt have them anymore in fact he probably threw it away the same day ha!) I remember him specifically saying, 'Look hunni, they even spelled my name right!' Ahh thus began our friendship...ha since then we've been through thick and through thin together.

HIGHLIGHTS: I've been so blessed to have this guy as my friend that the memories him and I share together are priceless. We piss each off to the point where I wont talk to him for a couple of days but then he always makes it a point to bring it up and then we forget all about it and laugh it off. We've have some of the corniest and stupidest jokes like our latest inside joke is the 'Damaged' song by danity kane. 'Do, do you got a first aid kit handy...' hahaha! Or that time he was at my house and he put these tubes up in his nose and we pretended he was in the hospital ha(okay, so it may have not been the funniest thing to joke around but it was funny at the time). Then were was our sleep overs...when we played iraq vs. us and well I dont remember who was who but one of them got owned. Oh I cant forget last year when we're at the LSS and we were in the hallway of the hall and I said 'sword of omens give me sight beyond sight' as we walked on stage and found the homeless guy sleeping. HA!! We've gone out to lunch countless times from 'ihop' phase to the 'chinese food in the city of westminister' phase to our broken valentine's day traditions of philly cheese steak. Not only did we share meals together but he's also been there during the difficult times when my lolo passed away and played music during a couple of the nights we prayed the novenas.

INSIGHT: This guy has a taught me a lot about life and faith. He's always someone I can rely on even if its tutoring me in music till 1am in the morning! haha There was that one time he bought me that one book 'Who moved my cheese' talking about adapting to change. Then there was that other one something how to win friends(That was one I never really finished.) I guess God knew I needed a big brother so he sent me this guy to help me out. If you see us interact w/each other for the first time you may think we're weird but its juss the way our friendship works. I think errfriendship is unique which is the beauty of friendship. Remember last year friend when we went to the Loft in cypress but you didnt like it so you drove all the way to lakewood one cuz it was 'normal.' ha Then we put together jacob's wagon and then had a skateboarding lesson? Kick, push, kick, push, coaaaaaaast' ha! Anyway, I hope this entry is long enough so you dont complain haha jk but thanks for all that you do for not only myself, but my family as well, You're the greatest-happy birfday bestie! Yay here's to many more to come. Oh btw, yeah so I failed to find the 'wii fit' for you(I know I tried!)soo you need to think of something else.

WYD: World Youth Day is getting closer and closer, something like 40 days left until the trip. They want us to only bring one bag, but yeah thas not happening for me. You cant expect me to bring juss one bag for a trip thas going to last almost 2 weeks! I kinda dont wnat to do the new zeland part of the trip but juss the australia but what can you do. Im going to start making a list of all the things I gotta pack, the hard part is the airlines have made it more and more strict regarding what you can and can't bring. I cant wait to bring back the pictures though...Im thinking of buying a camcorder before the trip to capture errsecond of video footage. I have to admit Im extremely grateful for all the donations I received to help for my trip. So Australia here I come...!
